China Plaza was one of my favorite places to visit in Norway! I was visiting from America and felt so at home with how warm and welcoming the atmosphere was. Jessica was an extremely hospitable and mindful host. My partner and I enjoyed a lovely meal; I highly recommend the kyllingsuppe and the fried svinekjøtt- those were my favorites. The kyllingsuppe had an excellent umami flavor and went down so smoothly, while the crispy coating of the svinekjøtt made for a satisfying crunch with every bite. To round off the meal, we had a banana split. As a first time consumer of Norwegian ice cream, I was enamored by the flavor profile and how rich it tasted- it was so much creamier and flavorful than I'm used to in the States and I wish I could have taken it home with me. Very good food indeed. I heard that Papaplatte also enjoyed it very much when he had a roadtrip with his friends through Scandinavia.
