If actually give this place 3.5 stars if it were an option. The food was good (except for the rice), portions were good, The atmosphere was nice and it was clean. It just wasn’t a stand out place.

While visiting Lake Havasu City, AZ we stumbled across Chicos Tacos and gave it a try. The food was good but the servers were a bit dismissive. It’s more of a fast food vibe despite not being fast food. They do have a full service bar and the drinks are decent. The menu has a lot of choices. We’ll go back when visiting Havasu. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Do glad we found this place. The guacamole and chips are a meal by themselves and fresh made. The Baja cod fish tacos were fantastic. Hubby got he shredded beef tacos, the taco shells had been deep fried and the taco shells were just stuffed with lettuce and cheese. The salsa bar was amazing. I came in with my daughter to have lunch and we ordered 2 veggie burritos with no cheese, no ranchera sauce, no refried beans sub black bean, add fries and for one of them no olives, marked with a dairy allergy and for the cooks to change their gloves, minding the allergy. We got home and the only thing right in the order was the salsa my daughter and I had poured ourselves. The chips were stale, over greased and gross. Our burritos were both wrong, one burrito had a ball of beef in it with lingering cheese and fries that were so hard they could break a tooth. The other one that said no olives on the foil still had a ton of olives in the burrito! Now, this is not the first time they have messed up my order, in fact I've become surprised when they actually get the order right. I usually stand there and open it up, but this time we went home to discover this. So now paying 35 dollars for food that's completely wrong. I drive back with my burrito explaining how the whole order was wrong. The girl sitting in the dinning area rudely grabbed the bag from my hand and took it in the back, where they examined it with out me present and proceeded to tell me they saw nothing wrong with it. I told them to not call me a liar and they tell me I don't have to have an attitude, all the while not apologetic for their mess up, with smirking and smiling like it's a joke. I got the refund and came back with the other burrito and demanded a full refund. Opened the foil to show it has olives when clearly marked no olives. She then just grabs the burrito, doesn't say ANYTHING to me and walks into the back. Comes back and starts to calculate on a calculator instead of going off the receipt I was just given for previous refund. This girl was so rude about the situation and I say this is terrible customer service, she says it's not about that it's about my attitude. Are you serious I paid for food and it's completely messed up! Her response, and I quote, "we don't control the kitchen". Seriously no apologies. No acknowledgement on their end. Mind you, I've been in this industry for over 10 years, I understand mistakes happen and I know what good customer service means. These employees are the worst. Like I've said, I've been hesitant to go back as previously stated, the orders are rarely correct. After this last experience I will never go there again, and I will only speak negatively about this place and how horrible these little girls they have working there are. I had a craving for some tacos and figured I would stop in and give this spot a try as it was ranked pretty good. Their lunch specials seemed pretty decent but then I learned that the taco special was a single taco so I decided against it and got two tacos and rice. The chicken was pretty good where as the beef was pretty bland. Both were filled with so much lettuce and cheese that it was almost difficult to eat. Love it! We really enjoyed the food. Its one of the better Mexican restaurant in town. The portions are just right not to big and not to small. Everything was well seasoned and tasted good. Our tummies were happy and full. We'll be back again.

Not a bad spot. Atmosphere inside was really cool and busy. Would like to stop by again for drinks and other items on the menu one day. Had the California burrito (18.99) due to beef shortage. Was surprised by that. Quality of the ingredients was really good and different from your typical Mexican restaurant. Everything just tasted more fresh. And I’m sure you’ll see that with the other items on the menu as they are pretty pricey as well. Salsa bar was a nice setup and included everything. I'm visiting from Texas and this place had really good reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. The place is casual but really nice and clean inside, and adjoins a full service bar that was hopping on a Friday. The margarita from the bar was good, but the food from the restaurant was very disappointing. I got chicken and beef tacos and the meat was dry on both of them. They were also drowned in lettuce and tomato, which were the only toppings besides cheese. Bland flavor overall. The tacos were also massive - I prefer when they are smaller and you can try several. I'm 200 lbs and could barely finish both. Hoping this isn't the best this town has to offer. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
