Stopped in for lunch and the food was so delicious! My sister works nearby and she had no idea this place was here. The atmosphere was great and so was the service. The food was perfectly portioned, authentic, and had amazing flavor. Will definitely be coming back and making this a go-to lunch spot! Chef Abdul's Mediterranean Restaurant exceeded all expectations! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality from Abdul's wonderful family. The food was simply out of this world – each dish bursting with authentic flavors and made with the utmost care and attention to detail. The service was impeccable, with every need anticipated and met with a smile. I cannot recommend this gem enough – it's a culinary experience that shouldn't be missed. Five stars all the way! I’m not one to leave a review but this place is well deserving of a 5 star review. First, service is fast and they are very nice and polite. The food is quite delicious. If you are looking for authentic food this is the place! The spinach soup is my go to,it’s a nice start before the entree. I personally love both chicken shawarma and the chicken kabob dinners they are filled with so much flavor. It’s sort of addicting. You can’t forget about the garlic sauce it definitely elevates everything. It was my second time here and I will definitely be back. What a treasure! A dear friend with Lebanese heritage recommended this cafe because he loves their falafel and hummus. Now we love it too! We all ordered the Combo Appetizer Platter, which comes with tabbouleh, saffron rice, falafel balls, hummus, baba ghanoush, and 2 quinoa-stuffed grape leaves. Huge amount of food. Every bite was so fresh and delicious. Flavors were subtle and not overwhelming, so you could add more spice if you wanted. I subbed yogurt-cucumber salad for the baba ghanoush; it was yummy too. We also tried and enjoyed the beverages. Arabic hot tea with cardamom for me. Our friend enjoyed a large cup of Arabic coffee. And my husband loved the Turkish coffee, served the traditional way on a platter with a glass of water and a small sweet treat. The food is mainly served on heavy paper plates, with paper napkins and plastic utensils. This is really a small location, so I'm guessing that they don't have storage space for regular plates, reusable utensils, and this kind of dishwasher (other than one for their cooking utensils). So next time we will take our own reusable utensils, napkins, and containers for leftovers to reduce waste. Thrilled to see every table full on a weekday, even after the usual lunch hour! Food is amazing and all ingredients are so fresh. Feel it in every bite. Wraps are in right size, love the falafel plain and veg flavors. Chicken kabob and rice is so delicious. We really enjoyed this place!! The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. The restaurant was also very clean. I got the chicken shawarma with falafels, it came with a spinach soup - all of it was very very good. Best authentic middle eastern food I’ve had in very long time! High quality of food and people. Great hospitality, prices ,and mainly the food. I like my food well done, and it was well done with best taste ever! I was lucky to find this spot while traveling to IL. I also had a very nice chat with chef Abdul and his team while waiting for my food. I highly recommend this place if you are craving fresh and tasty middle eastern food. Just found out this place recently while looking for a halal eatery. Its a small place so its hard to miss. When you enter, you'll be greeted with lots of pictures and decorations. The owner's family member took my order, she was nice and polite. Order came in decent time. The food is great and worth the money. Definitely a recommended place for Mediterranean halal food. Also their fries are downright amazing. The hot dog was juicy as it can be. One bite and the juices were flying out from the sides! The staff is incredibly polite and even gave me a free guava drink.
