Wonderful local experience in the Alfama area with Delicious food and great service. We visited twice in our trip, we fall in love with The flavours of the dishes in this local restaurant. Everything felt very authentic and on point with a very good budget; our highlights are the fishcakes, the grits octopus, the local goat cheese entrance and the bachallao dishes they are stunning 🧀 and last but no least the service is very very nice friendly and helpful people 🤩 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Grilled Codfish

We come to Casa da Tia Helena for lunch every time we visit Lisbon after happening upon it on our first ever visit. Can’t comment on the rest of the menu because the chicken is SO good we order it each time! As tempting as it would be to keep this place a secret so that we can continue to get a nice outside table easily - Casa da Tia Helena deserves the 5* feedback. Beautiful place with a nice decoration. The food is very tasty. We would recommend any dish with fish. The team is very friendly. The prices are decent. Only downer is that it took a long time from ordering to receiving the food. Probably an hour. By being a bit faster, the team could serve more customers and increase the revenue. A real portuguese cuisine with no-frills philosophy. Good mixed starters, with amazing bacalhau croquettes, chorizos, octopus, carrots, other bacalhau with chickpeas and olives. Then i had a grilled codfish, tasty and direct, and my girlfriend some drilled sardinas, really good. We finished with a ginjina and an aguardente, for a final price of 38€ each, with a bottle of white wine and one of water. All good, nice restaurant, but they shoud highlight in the moment we seated that it was not possibile to pay by card. Very nice little local restaurant in Alfama. Just a handful tables outside. Fresh grilled fish dishes. Service was friendly! Only the octopus was a little bit too cooked instead of grilled, so remained soft. Would recommend nevertheless! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
