We were in transit at Kuwait Airport for 5.5 hours after arriving around 3am, Kuwait local time. There were not many airport staff to guide us, so we settled near gate B5 in the transit lounge.
Here we discovered this small cafe. Being inveterate coffee drinkers, we ordered 2 double espressos, our usual poison! We've always been wary about coffee at airports, since not many are able to make a decent espresso. Thankfully that was not so here. The coffee was wonderful, hot, fragrant and strong. What I usually refer to as "hair on your chest coffee!"
This cafe serves a collection of salads, breads, sandwiches, brownies, waffles, chocolates, potato chips, granola bars, protein bars and cookies. Apart from this, they also have a selection of ceramic mugs, teacups, bottled drinking water and gym sipper bottles for sale.
The best part of it is the location. It is situated near the washrooms, and the water fountain. So, you will not only be able to eat something, have a hot or cold beverage, as well as, visit the the facilities that are a stones throw away.
Poor hygiene. What is the point of using gloves if you are touching it with your other hand and then carrying food with the glove. Also throwing plastic in the trash and glove is coming in contact with the trash bin. Very poor hygiene. Teach staff to use tongs and not touch glove with unclean hand or make contact with the trash bin. Require proper training.
We are usually there while waiting for our flight to board in Kuwait Airport. They have several seating areas either tables and chairs or couches.
The service was very good and they delivered to us at our table when one sandwich required reheating.
