We love seafood and Mexican cuisine, so we were so excited to try this place! But music was too loud, our server didn't speak any English, so it was hard to communicate. Fish ceviche was probably the worst I ever tried. Didn't care to eat more than two bites. In mixed seafood dish size of mussels/scallops/shrimp/octopus was so small, I would expect better quality of the product for the price. But it had large chuncks of crab imitation meat, which I didn't expect. Shrimp was tough and overcooked. But portions are large. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be back. This place gets a 100% go from me. The food was excellent. the staff was excellent and didn't make me feel stupid because I didn't know how to pronounce menu items. They give you market price so they're not blatantly overcharging you for the price of seafood when it goes up or down they charge a percentage over what their cost is. The bathrooms were spotless, the dining room was spotless and the bar was spotless. The menu was done really well so it's easy to read and fun. They're willing to pretty much custom make you whatever you want. If you like Mexican and seafood or just one of the other you need to try this place!!!

A must try if you are ever in Madison Wisconsin. Our server was polite, very helpful, and most importantly, the food was delicious. There are several seafood dishes that also include fries. I thought that was odd, but it was a perfect compliment to the sauce. I'd eat here at least twice a week if I lived nearby. The drinks were also great. I couldn't finish it, and that's rare!🤣🤣 You won't be disappointed. Visitors from Atlanta, GA

Wife and I stopped in for lunch. Server did not speak English and needed another server to help. Food was good. Refused to serve us a second margarita and did not say why. We had not been drinking prior to stopping in so didn't make sense. Then to top it off, they said credit card machine was broken and we had to pay cash. No warning about that ahead of time. My wife and I went there on New Years Eve and had a poor experience. They were understaffed and the server could barely speak English. The bar was closed, I assume due to lack of staff. The server was unable to explain why. When the food arrived, it was barely warm inside the burrito. Rather than struggle with the language barrier, we asked for “to go” boxes and took the food home to put in the microwave. I think the restaurant would have been better off to stay closed rather than provide hat kind of customer experience. I am visiting the city from a different state... the waitress was something else she tried to serve ok, but she couldn't get what we were asking for live for too long forgotten about us the food can be better definitely has to be a better place Service Dine in Price per person $100+ Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

This restaurant has always been somewhat disappointing, but my last visit assured me that I will not be returning. The waitress had no idea what she was doing and our party doesn't think that she was properly trained. The food was flavorless and our guacamole was not fresh. It was watery and had a creamy texture that is achieved by adding sour cream or something like that. What was most dismaying was how little meat came in our fajitas. The meat to vegetable ratio is showed in the attached picture. The dish should be priced less than $5 for the quality and quantity of meat. I will not be returning - the food, the price, the service were all very poor. There are plenty of nearby restaurants that do things much better. Save your money and go somewhere else. Great restaurant. Great flavor, and great service. Went on a Friday night and was semi busy. The food and drinks were brought out pretty fast. I asked for salsa for the fish tacos and got two different ones, green and red. Red(chile de arborl) is fire... shut out to Arturo for being on it that night. I say this is by far the best spot for Mariscos in Madison.

The “fresh water” have a sour minty taste and we order 4 of them, $15 waste on water. Got a carne asada, meat was over cooked and dry, the rice that came with it looked and tasted as if it was four days old, and there wasn’t even as much meat as expected waste of $25 for that meal. The plates that were set on the table were DIRTY. We also ordered shrimp tacos but it had wayyy more chorizo than shrimp. And they charge 18% tip for only 4 people, would have been understandable if that was charge for a group of six. The order of quesa birria had no flavor!!! Definitely not going back.
