Love that this place is so good that even with no sign on the building and no advertising, it was still hopping . The service was super attentive considering the place filled right up when it opened. The menu is small, but has something for everyone. Plenty of beverage options as well. I had the hanger steak and my husband had the ravioli. Both were so good that a couple of bites in we started talking about what we will order next time we come. The hanger steak came with crispy potatoes and a pan sauce. The only thing it was missing was a small roll so no drop of sauce would go to waste. The ravioli was good and had crispy Parmesan on top, which was a nice touch. The bottom line is that this place is worth finding! It is cozy and comfortable even on a busy Saturday night. I can't wait to go back! Extremely happy to have this brand new little gem in our neighborhood Been here twice now both times the food was perfectly done. Last night, Burrata on toast was scrumptious. The short rib gnocchi is also delicious. I love the bar. It has a great vibe. Great bartender. The place is always packed! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My daughter, partner, and I are thrilled to have this new restaurant in our neighborhood. We went opening day for dinner. It was very busy in there (a good thing!), but that didn’t take away from the clear care and dedication that the owner and his employees have for the establishment. The food was absolutely delicious even for my daughter who lives on chicken tenders! (She did order the chicken sandwich plain and essentially have one giant tender.) The drinks were great and the atmosphere was lovely. I love that there is an outdoor area with almost a brewery vibe to it out there. It’s a great spot on Melba and we highly recommend. My husband and I had such a great experience here. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Cullen, the bartender, was very personable, friendly, and approachable. We love that this spot has opened up in our neighborhood and look forward to many more walks here on snowy days! While we didn’t get to experience the outdoor space today since it was rainy, it looks very spacious and fun. We hope that it develops into something awesome! The one suggestion I would have is to add hooks under the bar counter so ladies don’t have to place our bags on the floor. Everything else was top notch! Excellent job, guys! Cool hip local joint with outstanding food. The chef is extremely talented putting out amazing plates with a concentration on quality not quantity. Don't expect massive portions. As i understand it, the idea is more medium sized plates where two people might get three different options rather than two main meals. My husband and I came here on a Friday night. The atmosphere is lively and fun, the staff are all friendly and pleasant and look out for each other. While we had one specific waiter, we had other staff who checked in and made sure we didn’t need anything because they were fully packed. You can tell the owner took pride in hiring people who truly care about customers and each other. The food was excellent. My husband and I split the eggplant which was great, and he enjoyed the sausage, peppers and broccoli rabe. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was super flavorful. They have a wide variety of drinks which my husband enjoyed. I’d love to see a mocktail or two on the list down the line but I’m sure they could make whatever you ask for. The decor in the restaurant is really fun and cozy. There’s a truly great vibe to this place that doesn’t try super hard, and at the same time is carefully curated. This is the place our little area of Milford needed. While we sat inside, I can’t wait to check out the outdoor space on our occasional warm days and next year. Great spot! Keep in mind they just opened and are adjusting. Have a positive attitude/ a little patience and you won’t leave disappointed. I was dining alone. Got seared but had to flag someone down to take my order.waited a long time for my food and had to flag someone down to check on it. In the interim no one checked to see if I needed anything while I was waiting. When my order of shrimp and grits arrived,it was served on a small plate (not bowl) unadorned with the most meager amount of grits (probably 1/4 cup) that anyone could imagine and extremely salty. The only good part of the meal was the shrimp. Cafe Melba is an excellent addition to the Milford restaurant scene. The food has been delicious - the tuna appetizer, the burrata app and the rabbit ragu with pappardelle were on point and the chicken sandwich is the best around. The atmosphere is a vibe - fun and funky - perfect for any size group (and they have a large outdoor space that will certainly come in handy during warmer weather). Keep in mind that the menu is ever changing - they focus on local/seasonal ingredients and won’t serve what is subpar, which is exactly what I’m looking for in a restaurant.
