As with most restaurants in the Western Cape over the December period, the prices of the food was on the expensive side but it was however very good and tasty and worth the money. While having your food you can watch the horses and springboks grazing in the small field next to the restaurant and also get a glimps of the pig and sone chicken walking around.

The food was amazing and what an atmosphere, I must however say the service received was really not up to standard. From customers who walked in after us being served prior to the long wait for the food as well ask the cashier/owner speaking in his language not even bothered if I understood. It really is an amazing restaurant with the most idyllic views. With improved service for ALL customers and not a select few it definitely would be a place I recommend.

I wish I was more positive about the whole experience. But too many things just, just fall short. The coffee just that little bit too bitter. The carrot cake tastes just a little strange and uncomfortable. I can't put my finger on it, but I think it might be the taste of too much ground cloves? (Or some other spice I can't identify that overpowers). The caprese sandwich just too bland. The view to the side is beautiful over the mountian range, but the whole restaurant is built with a verandah and view out to the front of the building which overlooks the sparse and dry lawn.
Beware. There is no shade parking in the Wellington heat! Instead of enjoying the strange view of the springbucks grazing, I'm worried if they have enough shade and clean water to drink - the small dam in their enclosure seems muddy and almost empty.
I wasn't asked if I want a medium or a regular sized coffee, although the menu against the wall specifies two sizes. I'm still not sure which of the two the small cup of coffee I received was.
All the orders are written up in tje same notebook at the till in the front, and when you go to pay you are told an amount (with the help of a calculator) and no way to check your bill. Was I charged extra for the oatmilk in my flat white? I'm not really sure.
No one asked me how my meal was. Usually I smile and say it was lovely irrespective of my experience. But this time I really felt I wanted to tell someone: It can be so nice here, but the coffee is a little too bitter and the cake tastes just a little odd. Are you aware of this too?
Café La Vita. You are almost there. There are so many nice touches to your decor and the atmosphere and the friendly staff. If you can just put in that last little bit of care to close the gap you, would be able to make a visit to your restaurant a really lovely experience.

Very poor service. The service was very slow and the waiter got our order wrong.
The food had the potential to be great but was poorly executed. The french toast was dry and definitely not enough toppings for the amount of bread. With the egss benedict a "soft" egg was requested and it arrived hard.
A restaurant with so much potential, but currently not living up to that potential.
