We arrived at 11:30 & there was a queue going outside, the place was very busy. We were seen by a waitress who offered us a menu & reserved a table for us which was really great. We ordered 1 bacon eggs Benedict, 1 salmon eggs Benedict, a side dish of the Bruschetta which is basically tomato’s on toast with a sprinkle of feta, some wilted spinach & a drizzle of balsamic dressing & 2 mango & pineapple smoothies which were delicious. However the eggs were overcooked which was really disappointing. The food arrived promptly & as we ate our meal plates were being cleared at the same time, which was rude & it felt like we had to hurry. I asked for a takeaway container & was given a paper plate & brown paper bag, I was confused about this & asked another waitress for a burger box which I was told it cost $.50c this was so weird, I’ve never had to pay for any takeaway container! Another fabulous meal at Café Cuba. Staff are so helpful and polite. Thoroughly enjoyed sharing this place with my bestie. Rice with pork belly salad, loaded wedges carrot cake Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The female owner is so rude to her stuff. I have been in hospitality for nearly 13 years, I have never seen so much disrespectful to stuff in my life. I don't believe that this woman should be running a Cafe if she so rude to her stuff. I can hear her yelling at them when I was sitting outside. Come one lady leave your personal life at the door and be a better owner to you staff. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $30–40 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
This is a review about skipping the Passion Fruit Custard Square from Café Cuba. Let’s start with the fact that “custard” should ideally be smooth and creamy, a delightful treat for the palate. However, this square seemed to have missed the memo entirely. The custard was as thick as a winter blanket, and not nearly as comforting. It was like trying to navigate through a dense fog, but in your mouth. Then there’s the icing – oh, the icing! If you’re a fan of sugary concrete, then this is the treat for you. The overly thick and sugary icing was like a motorbike helmet, guarding the already impenetrable custard below. Eating it felt like a workout for my jaw. I half expected to find a tiny jackhammer alongside my fork to break through the sugary crust. And let’s talk about the “passion” in the Passion Fruit. It was as if the fruit had lost all its enthusiasm on the way to the café. The base was so dry, I wondered if they had mistaken the recipe for a sandcastle instead of a pastry. Each bite was a desperate plea for moisture. In all honesty, this review has been utterly spoiled by the memory of the Golden Tulip Bakery’s custard squares, which are the epitome of what a custard square should be. Theirs is a harmonious blend of silky custard and just-right icing, a distant dream compared to the culinary misadventure at Café Cuba. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Today I'm DECREASING my review of three stars to one. I have been trying cafes bought big breakfasts around palmie for 10 weeks now. On this occasion the breakfast I received from cafe Cuba (photo contained within this), resembled little more than slop! I had extra eggs and mince, the mince was extremely salty, and look at the presentation when compared to competitors, what a joke 🤣. Over the years I have noticed that this eateries quality and people skills have been ever gradually declining. Perhaps the only reason people go here is the hopes by some chance a miracle happens that cafe Cuba emulates the quality it had yesteryear (2000s). Classic textbook capitalism where consumers are paying an inflated price for something that used to be. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $30–40
Why are the take away iced coffees in a normal take away cup? i payed $7 and it was too much coffee because the cup is too small so it makes it hella strong and i couldn’t taste any of the caramel in it. The service and staff are lovely, place is clean, but the iced coffee? nuh uh, soz but waste of my money 🤷🏽‍♀️ Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Alright service with no smiles and only tired faces. We got our tables pretty fast but the food took forEVER to come. Every time they walked out with plates we we’re expecting it to be ours and to our dismay it was for someone who sat down after us. When the food did arrive it was worth the annoyance of waiting. Delicious loaded fries and my mum was happy with her salad.

Haven't been here for about 15 years...so thought I would revisit on this visit to Palmy...was not disappointed in the service, the food and coffee...great to see keto options. We came at 10:30am for brunch and our food arrived at 11.30am. We left at 12 noon. Food was average if that. The smash was very oily. Hash brown stack was okay and so was eggs benny. Nothing special. We sat outside and had to ask to be seated inside. It was cold and rainy. We asked for the outside weather curtains to be closed as it was getting cold and wet. The grumpy owner told us they don’t pull it down far as the inside can cook. If we had known it would take over an hour for our order, we would’ve ordered from the cabinet instead or gone elsewhere. Heard lots of unhappy customers as we left and one woman who ordered takeaway was standing waiting for 50 mins when we left. It looks like a good cafe but on a quiet day not New Years Eve morning. Meal type Brunch Price per person $90–100 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Recommended dishes Eggs Benedict
