Byer's has been a staple for getting cakes for special occasions from over the years. They've made a cake for my high school graduation, one for my graduate school commencement, and just recently a gorgeous cake for my friend's baby shower. I even had tried their cupcakes! The service is immaculate - they will email and/or call you regarding details on how you want your cake to be decorated. They've always gotten back to me in a timely manner and I never had to wait long for a response. As long as I live in this area, I will continue giving Byer's my business! It can be pricey, but I promise it's worth it!
Don't know what happened. I came here 8 years ago and thought this was it, the diamond in the rough, the only good bakery in Lancaster country. The cake I had was the best tasting, like no other. Soft, moist, perfect texture. It was like a real professional pastry chef made it. The frosting was light, not disgustingly sweet, it was almost like whip cream. I've been told that's how real butter cream is. There used to be these beautiful flaky pastries now it's all nothing but the same old PA dutch stuff. Wayyy too expensive. For the old bakery items I would have paid, but not for any of this stuff. I'm suspicious they don't even bake things here. Cake suspiciously seemed like it was frozen. I don't know what happened to this place but used to be so good, now gone with the wind.
Bought a customized raspberry chocolate cake and it was delicious. 2 weeks later and I'm still eating it, it has preserved well in an air tight container.
I ordered 3 dozen mini cannolis for Christmas. I asked the lady, how do I store them, because I wasn't using them till Christmas Day. (Picked up on a Saturday, Christmas was Monday). She said ,in the fridge. I told her, through past experience, they get soggy in the fridge. She very rudely said, well don't put them in the freezer. That was it, no other suggestions, nothing.I had to google, how to store them. Needless to say, they were soggy, on Christmas. They were ok,but soggy and not very sweet. Besides, the lady being rude, cannolis weren't the best tasting. Will go to another bakery, next time.

When I was a teenager my parents always got my birthday cake from Byers. They have very fresh and delicious cakes. They put in the effort and are willing to work with you. I ordered a special cake for a coworker who retired. Everyone loved it!
Having just relocated from South Jersey, I needed a new bakery and I’m so glad I discovered Byers Butterflake Bakery. Not only was the art work beyond my expectations, the cakes were also delicious! The Wolf Cake was White Rhapsody and the Sunflower Cake was Mocha Chocolate Chip, they were both very fresh. You’ll need to order the next size up so you can have some for later! Can’t wait until the next occasion to order another cake!
Visited many bakeries but Byers was the best. My wedding cake consult was professional, organized and of course delicious. I loved how my cake turned out. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience. As a student of Veritas Academy, I enjoy stopping bye for the frequent donut. My one teacher owed us donuts, so we ordered 4 dozen. This morning I picked them up. Our the class loved them!!! They are so delicious, fluffy, and amazing, not to mention a lot cheaper than any other place. And, on top of it, because we ordered so many we got a free treat of a ton of gingerbread cookies. The staff are always so kind, coming out to help us with our order immediately. Recommend all the time. Visit, you won't regret!
