I could write a 10,000 word essay on all of the reasons I love Buttercup! Everything I have ever ordered from them has been delicious not to mention absolutely gorgeous. The owner, Kristina, and sweet Alex make my day every time I visit. I am so happy that Tomball has such a precious bakery where I can get something special for whatever holiday, birthday or event I am celebrating. The quality, taste and creativity are truly unmatched and I look forward to many, many more treats ordered in the future!

We ordered two weekend cakes for my daughter's birthday party (vanilla strawberry and chocolate marshmallow). Not only were the cakes absolutely beautiful but they were seriously the best cake I have tasted in a long time. Each cake was moist and flavorful without being overly sweet. We also picked up a few cookies when we got the cakes that were equally delicious. We will most definitely be repeat customers!

The owner was so sweet and welcoming from the minute I walked in the door! You can tell she is very enthusiastic about her new business. Not to mention how AMAZING the baked goods are! Wow! Our entire veterinary hospital staff got to enjoy them today. You can clearly tell they’re homemade. We will definitely be back and are happy to be right down the street!

Buttercup bakery is such a gift to the Tomball community! Every single item we have tried has been AMAZING, and the blueberry muffins are out of this world!! The family owned operation is so welcoming and you know they are baking with love. Yes, they have limited hours but once you taste their products you’ll understand that the best things in life are worth the wait….and I’ll gladly wait for treats like these!

So glad I was able to visit Buttercup Bakery and pick up this delicious gluten free chocolate loaf with mascarpone cheese. The loaf was so moist and the mascarpone accented it beautifully. I'm so excited they opened up and are offering gluten free options! Being in walking distance from work is going to be dangerous for my wallet and waist 💖

This is a top quality bakery. The chocolate chip cookies are worthy of an award, and they have just the right amount of salt. They clearly have some excellent experience, you can tell in how everything I’ve had there looked photo-perfect and was made excellently. Super tender crumb, makes it clear they don’t over-mix. The frosting is stellar, and has a very good butter to sugar ratio. I don’t think they cut any corners! My favorite thing was either the aforementioned cookie, a shortbread cookie that Ted Lasso could have baked, or the strawberry vanilla scone. Truly you can’t go wrong here! My only regret is I forgot to take a picture of the chocolate chip cookie!

Buttercup Bakery is a dream addition to Tomball. I bought their baked apple donuts, and some lemon slices, they were so good.. my husband ate 3 of the donuts! ! Such a sweet family, and a very cute shop.

Sooooooo good! I’ve been wanting to try this place out and I’m glad I finally was able to come by. We tried a white cake cupcake, brownie with caramel corn flakes, banana pudding, and pizza focaccia bread. Everything was fresh! The cupcake had a whipped topping I believe and it was light. The brownie topping was so good I could eat it by itself ha ha. My favorite was the banana pudding. My husband loved the focaccia bread. I want to go back and try a cake and cookie.

Ordered a few weekend cakes for my wife’s birthday party. All three cakes (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry) tasted great! Highly recommend!

Stopped in today on a whim trying to find a quick breakfast for my kiddos… and ordered the strawberry scone, the Gruyère savory scone, and the Linzer bar. Everything was incredible- amazing flavors, fresh, buttery, moist- seriously delicious. But y’all…. This Linzer bar literally made me meet Jesus. I have never tasted pastry like this…. It is UNREAL. Please do yourself many favors and get a Linzer bar. The flavors are complex and perfect- buttery, rich, a little tart, perfectly sweet. It’s a marriage of flavor and texture too- with the slivered almonds. SO GOOD!!!
My 9 year old son only got a few bites in before I finished it off. Best pastry I’ve ever had!
