I had not been in the Brass Rail in years. We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was a great atmosphere and cleaned up to the point where you would certainly take your Mom there, but they kept it authentic and the classic Bar atmosphere. They only have bar pizza, but do yourself a favor and try the cheesy garlic bread. Oh also try the Squint, their “Signature” drink. This will for sure be my new spot when I am in Champaign. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went in to celebrate graduation and wanting to try out a new dive bar of Champaign. One of the part owners groped a member of my group to the point where she started crying. (Bartenders were nice though and ambiance was great) Price per person $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Classic Champaign bar under new ownership. Pretty much the same decor/feel, just a little nicer/cleaner. Price per person $10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of my favorite bars in the area hands down. It’s got a very old school dive bar vibe in the best possible way. Shows here are also super fun. And obviously Wink, ARock, Teresa and the rest of the staff are all the tops!

Great historical place small club bar for bands worldwide. Great staff bartender service and promoter everyone cool for live shows. Had a local vendor bbq pulled pork and hot sauces for sale. SACK AND TAXI GRAVEYARD ROCK THE STREET. Will be coming back for more shows in the future tour of life.

A slice of heaven disguised as a pocket of hell. One of the best bars in town while simultaneously the worst bar in town. 10/10, would recommend.

Very dimmly lit and depressing atmosphere. The bars a run down hole in the wall that feels cramped. Service is good and was served fast and prompt. After ordering a draft beer however I noticed a horrible taste to the beer. I'm told that is from them not having cleaned out they're lines. Speaking of clean the whole place is less than clean has an odor of urine. Men's room was in discustingly bad shape with poo stains on the seat and toilet paper holder as well as multiple swatsikas carved into the wall.

Over thirty years in town and I just went in here for the first time. I've been a customer of the place across the street for all those thirty+ years. They only have two, maybe three, beers on tap. I think you go here to get bottles and cans of lite beer to wash down shots of whiskey. No one in town that I know goes here so I'll likely not return. Still, if it sounds like the type of place for you - check it out! It's been there a long time!

The BEST! Great service, and really great people! The love I have for this place runs deep. I've laughed, I've cried, I've danced, and drank a little too much for my own good here....BUT I wouldn't want it any other way. They have chips, pizza, and cash only (but the have an ATM in bar).
