This is a place you would never want to miss. We went there 3-4 times and every time we had great hospitality and amazing food. They will never fail to amaze you with their delectable food. Had lunch here! Order chicken fried rice and mixed seafood rice. Not the best but okay. Seasoning could improve. Service could improve as well. Beautiful atmosphere with restaurant overseeing the madu river😍 Portions are average. Worth the price? I guess. Absolutely gem of a place for lunch, we found it just passing and so glad we did. The location is perfect, nice garden seating with shade with a view of the Madu river. We had a great sea food meal with grilled fish from the catch of the the day, devilled cattle fish and prawn curry with rice. Everything was so tasty, and service was superb as well. Had a lovely relaxing lunch on the riverbank with friendly and professional service. The fresh river prawns 🍤 came with a very tasty homemade 🥭 mango sauce and is highly recommended. We had lime soda and cappuccinos for drinks. Very good! Beautiful place with good parking. Just loved it! Thank you, Lalith De Silva for the nice chat. Fresh and tasty food! Lovely views and under the shade the weather was nice. We also did the river tour and our boat department from this location. We stopped by cinnamon island where a family lives. The local man explained the process of extracting the edible/consumable cinnamon from the tree and was selling the powder, sticks, and oil, which was an interesting experience. We also tried the fish therapy which I honestly found so strange but my husband seems to have enjoyed it. Overall enjoyable day:)

Amazing restaurant. Really really good seafood- the best we have had in sri lanka (and we have dined mostly at 5 star resorts). The price is justifiable as I had a plate of very well cooked fresh fish: a whole fish, calamari and prawns for 28 dollars. The fish was all really fresh and the sauce was delicious. Really recommend 10/10, I will definitely come here again on my next visit to this country. The owner is a very friendly man, and this was perfect after our river cruise. Also the toilets were the cleanest ones we have had in 12 days of dining in restaurants here. Really top service. I don’t usually get satisfied with fish unless I cook it myself but today I was wrong. It was the best! Photos attached :) my partner had the chicken and it was good too but he was jealous of my plate. The side potatoes were also with some spices (not hot) and they tasted delicious. You have to come here on your next visit- such a better way to eat than the all inclusive resort food that is offered in local hotels! Restaurant on the river! Beautiful place! More than the food I enjoyed their boat ride on the madu river 🚣🏽‍♀️ ! Their boats are good, and they do a good job when it comes to boat trips! ‘Kanil’ did our trip and he was very good!! Highly recommended! Owner Lalith is a nice gentleman and Paul helped us with the food order! Beer 🍺 available ! Excellent day outing spot with family and kids. Delicious, affordable food (Italian) and also boat ride(with life jacket). Highly recommended. The staff is very friendly, clean and the place is open, spacious with nice breeze. Can do card payment for everything including food+boat ride.
