Blue Hashi is on the opposite side of town from our office right now, but it's still a regular lunch spot for dine-in or take-out! The staff has been consistently kind and attentive. Food is quick, even today when the dining room was almost full for lunch. Happy that a spot like this is in town. This is the best sushi Idaho Falls has to offer. It's the only sushi place that offers a twist on edamame. Order it hashi style for the best edamame you can find. The tempura is always good, and they have a variety of sake options. Among the sushi choices, the Nagasaki, the Geisha, and the Caterpillar are rolls you can't go wrong with. If you generally enjoy all types of sushi rolls, try the Vision and be both surprised and delighted with what comes out. The sushi here tastes great! I think I got the Geisha and Crunch rolls. My husband got the surf and turf, which was surprisingly good with the beef inside. He also got the sashimi which he liked the seasonings. However, I think the portion was too small for its price. I was not very filled after eating two rolls (normally I would be full from 1.5 rolls). I probably won’t come back if I want to spend less to be full. The table also had some ugly dents which was not very pleasant since we were seated there even though there was a lot of other nicer tables. I have been coming here for years. For a sushi place in Idaho I love it! They have a great selection, they do gourmet sushi rolls, plus the edamame is amazing. You can either sit at the bar and watch the staff make the sushi or sit in a booth and watch a gorgeous fish tank. I would recommend the Sleep Walker. They are by far my favourite roll. The food was gross. We tried the managers special and the Phoenix roll. The fish seemed so old and dry. We left basically the whole roll to be trashed. The managers special had really good steak but the rest had Panda Express like quality. I wouldn’t go back, especially at that price. Wouldn’t recommend Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

This has been one of our favorite places to eat for several years now. Also, a lot of the awesome staff (both servers and cooks/sushi rollers) have been working here at least since we've been coming and in my opinion, a place that doesn't have a high employee turn over rate is a sign of a great place to be. I absolutely love Blue Hashi. My favorite is the avatar roll. I always get it and then a second roll to mix things up. Tonight I tried the Hiroshima roll and it was fantastic. It has seared tuna and a fried tempura shrimp in the middle which gave the roll a delicious little crunch. If you like saki, try their house made apple cider saki! My daughter is a vegetarian and she also loves it. They make a tree hugger roll or will design a veggie roll. I've never had sushi anywhere else that I enjoy as much as I do here. Horrible experience. My to go order was incorrect. The MANAGER, then tried to blame the error on me. Then his idea of resolving the issue was for me to drive 20 min back to get a new roll brining in the old roll. Horrible customer service. Would NOT recommend them. The proper way to resolve their screw up would be to credit me back for my roll, or give credit to a new roll. Time for new management. Service Take out Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
I was genuinely surprised at how poor my experience here ended up being. After hearing a lot of praise for this place I took my wife here on a date. Getting seated didnt take too long as we beat a rush coming in, but we soon discovered that they were very understaffed last night. By my reconing there was one waitress for the whole place, and she was taking orders and admitting folks at the front. That being the case it took a long time to be waited and served. When I saw the roll options I was very excited, and when I saw the price tag on them I was hopeful that the cost would correspond to quality or at least quantity. Sadly, it didn't. We got 4 rolls and all of them were not to our taste. The individual ingredients (fish, shrimp, cream cheese, etc) were oddly flavorless, the rolls were lacking sauce, toppings and seasoning, and were overall very so-so. One roll even managed to be dry, somehow. Don't get me wrong, if you are a fan of "clean eating" or lighter fare, you would probably like it, but if you are expecting a decadent flavorful roll, you will be a bit let down. That said, they also had a lot of rolls seasoned with cilantro and made with asparagus. So if you feel turned off by these ingredients being in your sushi you are going to be a bit pigeonholed into what you can get. I will still give it 3 stars because at the end of the day the sushi wasn't terrible, it just wasn't what I wanted. Also, that lady waiting everyone was hustling and still doing a good job, and whoever was making the rolls had a ton of orders and was cranking them out as fast as any other place would on a crowded night. Also, I actually liked the atmosphere. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

I love the food here! It's on point. The service is slow. However, if you expect that, then you'll enjoy the experience more! This is a go-to place for a great meal for our family! We had a great dinner at Blue Hashi! First, if you’re a fan of seaweed: the seaweed salad is a great tasty appetizer to split between two people. We tried the Kikkoman and Nagisaki rolls, and really liked both, but the Kikko was definitely our favorite! The staff was very friendly and helpful! We’ll be back to try more specialty rolls very soon!
