An excellent Italian restaurant located in a quiet redmond strip mall. I am surprised to see a mostly empty restaurant. The server recommended my cocktail drink “euphoria” that indeed made me feel euphoria. Each food we ordered was all beyond our expectations. We ordered the lunch sandwich set and the pepperoni pizza. The special soup of the day was cauliflower soup. The sandwich bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which is delicious. The taste of eggplant and tomatoes is also very refreshing. The potato slices on the side were golden and crispy. The pizza is also delicious. We had never been to Blu Sardinia and since La Tropea burned down have been craving some good Italian food. The atmosphere is pretty cool. The building is round with two levels. I can see that when this place has a lot of people that it would be a great people watching spot. We went at 5:00 pm on a Wednesday night. There were less than 10 people there. Our waiter, Chris, was very cool. I enjoyed meeting him. He wasn't sure about a couple of things but went and asked so that was helpful. We had the Crispy Calamari ($16) and Caesar Salad ($14) to start. The calamari was cooked perfectly. It was crispy and not greasy. The sauce (lemon, saffron vinaigrette) was really unusual. By itself, it tasted harsh but when you added the salty and crunchy calamari, it was really good. All the flavors melded well. There was nothing special about the Caesar Salad. It could have used something to make it stand out. They were sweet and split it for us at no extra charge. For the main, we split the Ricotta Gnocchi ($26 sauce) with Auroa Sauce and a Brocollini ($8). The gnocchi was really tasty. It was cooked well, not over cooked. The sauce was gentle and not overy harsh. Gnocchi needs a gentle (only word I can think of) sauce as to not overwhelm the pillow. Tomato sauce can be too acidic but the aurora sauce was just right. Unfortunately, I bit into a larger bit of garlic husk that made it into the sauce. At least it wasn't plastic. Very unfortunately was the brocollini. There was a chance to do something epic here but it fell really flat. It wasn't tender. It needed to be crispy, it wasn't. It needed some acid, it didn't have it. If I could offer advice - steam it a bit longer, throw it on some fire, more garlic and salt, finish with a bit of lemon, zest, and parm. All-in-all, it was about a 3 star effort. Maybe the pandemic took it out of them but I bet more people would eat here if the passion were back in the cooking. Based on other reviews with nice photos, I think the primary chef(s) must have been gone, as the food we were served was not good compared to what other people have experience. Reliability may be an issue here, as several people reported hit-and-miss experiences. Tonight my elderly parents and I arrived at 6:30pm to a nice ambiance with a live violinist and fire place. The waiter was kind and attentive- kudos to him. But our enjoyment didn't progress beyond that. After a ~30min wait, the one salad we ordered came out. The fall salad had very little green in it and was mostly oily Brussel sprouts and sweet potato. 20-25 min after finishing the salad, our pasta dishes arrived and were average at best-- akin to Italian fast food in taste and presentation, I'm sorry to report. The pasta Norma was missing the basil and Parmesan cheese, which the waiter apologized for and brought out a bowl of ground cheese, while all three of us agreed the eggplant in it was difficult to chew. The Pasta Sardinia was a basic red sauce with ground sausage, but little more. Overall it was quite an underwhelming meal for the higher prices and fine ambiance. Seems like we had bad timing for this meal, as it was not in line with other raving reviews and nowhere like the lovely photos many have posted. The waiter did say there was a party upstairs that was delaying the kitchen, but that's no excuse for other diners to have a poor experience. We haven't been here in a long time And yesterday we decided to come in and I'm glad we did. The food was really delicious (I didn't take pic of everything), the waiter agreed to change our dish to white sauce and not tomatoes and the result was delicious. The bartender was very nice . And we will come again 😊 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Wow... I was really impressed by the atmosphere when I first walked into the restaurant but ended up being really really disappointed... I genuinely think they forgot to bring our food out fresh and hot because the calamari was super cold including the chicken Parm and supreme pizza. That pizza is not worth $24 because honestly dominoes can do better than that. The portion of chicken Parm was extremely small and nothing special from a regular home cooked chicken Parm made from your momma. And that thing cost $36... The prices are insane for the quality and portion of food you get.... You can look at my reviews. I always try to be tactful and try to help restaurants out with 5 stars whenever I can but this place is just not it. They either need to adjust the prices of their food or need to recreate their menu and make better quality food. Though their food is better than our military dining facility, it's not a $36 difference in the chicken Parm. In fact, I'll say DFAC chicken parm is the same level as the one they made here. That is a low bar because DFAC food is free. Server was really nice and helped out when he could but he was literally serving 6-7 different tables and wasn't able to consistently check up on all the tables. I'm pretty darn sure he forgot to bring out food out when it was ready because he was just so busy doing/serving other guests. It almost seemed like most of the waiters/waitresses were worried about the people upstairs than folks downstairs. The rosemary paloma was very good so I'll end it on a good note Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

What a lovely experience. We got a reservation here a few hours beforehand. Parking was super easy, there’s a big lot right outside. We walked in and found out there was a violinist playing in the restaurant! She was wonderful, she even played one of our favorite songs. We arrived about half an hour before our reservation and they were luckily able to seat us right away. The service was very good and we had several people taking care of us and periodically checking in. The atmosphere was great, very peaceful even with so many people. The crowd was mostly older (~35-60) well dressed people, I assume out for date night. My fiancée and I talk pretty softly at restaurants as not to disturb our neighbors and our neighbors were just as quiet as us, so this place has people with respect and social etiquette. I will say this place has the tables crammed in, I’m plus size and I had to weave around the room to get to my chair in the back and then actually move the table so I could fit in between to get to the booth, which was very unfortunate and a bit embarrassing. The food was fabulous. Im a vegetarian and there were a fair number of vegetarian dishes, although most of those lacked creativity. I’d love to see more inspired vegetarian options. We had the flatbread with roasted garlic and goat cheese and the risotto mozzarella balls to start. Both were great, tasted very fresh. The red sauce with the risotto balls was outstanding, warm and rich with a kick to it. The drinks were delicious, I got their autumn respite and it was particularly good and a somewhat unique flavor combination. I had the pesto pasta for dinner and although the sauce was quite runny it had great flavor. Restaurant pestos often disappoint but this one was fresh and delicate. They got my order wrong the first time but corrected it pretty quickly, which I was thankful for since my fiancée won’t begin eating without me. He got the carbonara which he said was also quite good. For dessert we got the gelato and sorbet trio and it was hands down the best pistachio gelato I’ve ever had, which happens to be my favorite. They were out of the coconut, my second favorite, which was disappointing. They were also out of the red meat option, which my fiancée really wanted, so that was also quite disappointing, as he doesn’t care for pasta generally and this was one of the few mains without it. I had the homemade arancella which was fabulous and he got a grappa that happened to be one of his favorites. The wine was so good too. Throughout the night we had 3 different staff checking in on us so we never sat there waiting for help. Each one of them was wonderful but not overbearing. It genuinely seemed like they didn’t mind (dare I say enjoyed?) the work atmosphere. They didn’t rush the bill either. We spent about an hour and a half here. As people who usually go out in Seattle, we were shocked that the place was nearly cleared out by 815, but I imagine is due to the older clientele they were serving that night and the general calmness of the Redmond region. Overall, the meal was exceptional. We rarely find ourselves in Redmond and we don’t often go to a place twice unless it’s VERY good but I will be coming back and I eagerly await another violin date night at Blue Sardinia. I highly recommend this place, even if you have to drive out from Seattle. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We had a chance to come back to this restaurant in the Bella Bottega shopping center since it has been years since our last time due to the pandemic. We invited a friend who is big on good food and delicious cocktails; he loved it! Food is absolutely delicious! We always get the pane rustica to share because their flatbread is amazing since it's made and grilled in house in their wood fire oven. I got the casa salad which was refreshing and the strawberries gave it a sweetness I loved. For my main course I got the pesto prawns bucatini. Pasta was cooked al dente so the chew texture was perfect, the sauce was great (not heavy, not oily, flavourful), and the shrimp were fresh. It didn't bother me, but warning that the tails are left on the shrimp. Last for dessert I got the trio gelato. They have classic flavours like chocolate and pistachio, while also having unusual ones like rice. The atmosphere is nice casual so it's great whether you're going for a quick bite to eat at their bar or celebrating an event with a group of friends. The menu prices are higher than a fast casual restaurant, but not overpriced for the quality they give or more expensive than comparable restaurants in downtown Redmond. They post their menu on their website which is nice. This place is one of our local favourites and I look forward to coming back to try other dishes! Excellent wait staff and service. We visited on a sunny Thursday night and opted for an outdoor table in the sun. Once a shady table opened up, we were offered to move which we super appreciated! Inside seating was also available, but we wanted to soak up the summer sun. We enjoyed our food and cocktails. Definitely will go back! Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

First time here and it was an excellent dinner experience. We had the Seafood Pasta (pictured here) and the Pesto Prawns Buctini along with Tiramisu for dessert. The food presentations were superb, delicious with good-sized portions, service was exceptional, and the ambience was perfect. The restaurant was very clean, modern, spacious, and upscale. We will be returning to try their other dishes. I recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for something delicious in a sophisticated setting.
