Great service and amazing menu The service was great and the staffs are nice telling you the components of your food, wait time for the dessert. The food was amazing. Bread was fresh and crunchy. Oliver oil has good quality. However, the wait on the main dishes was a bit long. The view by the windows were great, so no point will be deducted. There was some bread crumbs on the table and the chair, it happens. There was a cigarette bud on the floor. This was a bit sad, but it is something easily improved. Anyway, I will go there again. Absolutely divine fine dining Slovenian food - fresh, balanced, beautiful food. The views are absolutely incredible - floor to ceiling windows facing Lake Bled. Got the best table in the room with such an amazing view, perhaps the best dining view ever. Got a signature starter from the Chef and really tasty main and dessert meals. We had set lunch consisting of a mushroom soup, roasted pork ribs with potatoes and Bled Cream Cake for dessert. No price for guessing correctly our favourite was the cake. Paired with a cup of cappuccino, it was perfect. The view from the alfresco dining area of Lake Bled is also remarkable! Set on a shady terrace on top of the castle, a fine dining experience which showcases the best Slovenian regional produce. We had some local pastries to start, then shared both a cheese and charcuterie board. Delicious and the waiter explained each item to us. Finished with the Bled cream cake. Fantastic. Definitely a lil rocky getting here. I asked the peopleat the ticket booth if there were any free seats at the restaurant for lunch and to help me call them because I had issues with my SIM. The guy was very rude and unhelpful, shrugging and insisting theres ‘nothing he could do’. Not even help make a phone call to the restaurant a few meters away. 🙄 Luckily i managaed to borrow a friends phone and secured a seat at the restaurant. At first they (apolagetically) put me in the sun with a fantastic view, but it was unbearable hot. Luckily i was able to move into the shade later but i suggest putting a few umbrellas + putting more tables as there was alot of unused space outside. There were only 3 servers and they seemed quite busy. The food, hence, took a while to arrive but the server was always very apologetic and kind despite the heat and hustle. The food itself is abit pricey (as expected for a tourist location), but worth! The small appetizer of bandelc has to be one of the best pastries ive eaten. The butter was so smooth and flavorful. The chilled tomato soup hit the spot on a hot day (10/10). The veal and hot goat was interesting! Definitely alot of contrasting flavors so my palette was definitely abit confused. I think it couldve done without the cranberry or the fruit as both offer a citrusy/acidic taste to cut thru the meat. (7.5/10). The cake was good! Came on the house as the waiter forgot it, which was a nice gesture (8/10) Overall, spectacular views and surprisingly good food and pleasant service for a tourist place. This place has the best view ever. The food is pretty good and the service is decent. Be sure to reserve ahead of time, though. You also need a phone to do so, as they don’t seem to respond to online reservation inquiries. We didn’t have a number while in Slovenia, so we just went and climbed the ridiculously cool and treacherous staircase, hoping they had a table. Getting in to eat was expensive though, since we had to also pay entry (€15 per person) without the ability to reserve ahead of time. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
