Stayed here for a week, no WiFi in any of the rooms, TV with no channels, hot water only lasts for about 2 mins. Top of roof has some sort of machine that turns on at random times, can hear it in your room for hours, woke me up multiple times sometimes as early as 4am. Staff was friendly but kept screwing up food orders wrong bill etc, they lock the front door at night, so sometimes you have to wait 5 mins just to get inside. Good location but unfortunately not worth the price

I had a terrible experience. The service is not good, and the staff is not nice. It takes hours to prepare the food, and we have to wait at least one hour to get it. Watery food and not up to standard.

The service was terribly slow. They didn't have a ton of items from their own menu. The room access is horrible. Have to walk from the middle of the restaurant. Even though the room was okay, will not stay again or recommend.

Terrible and watery food! Worst experience in colombo probably :( never coming back! We ordered a variety of food including the lasagna, club sandwitch, creamy pasta, chicken soup an mixed seafood rice, and all of them were equally terrible!

Great place in Colombo and honored to be the first guest in 2019, after working 3 years in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend this place.

Last visit Sep 2023. Blackout used to be mainly a bar. But now they have top side for the bar and on the ground its just.a normal restaurant. Mostly have savory and sweets. But lunch and dinner is also possible. Sometimes they have hoppers that is the best. But food is over soon so better get there before 8ish. Parking 6 cars inside and then u can park much more in ward place road. Food is good quality and u get a service with a smile most of the time. They accept credit cards. Restrooms are available but not upto standard so use it only if you have too.

It was okay. In the schezuan chicken dish they served, 85% of the pieces had bones in it (it was like a chicken parts bite plate you get for 300 rupees in street hotels) when I informed the chef that it doesn’t feel right as the dish was 1500 and why am I eating bones here. Chef replied, that’s how they have been doing it since the day they opened. 🤷🏼‍♂️ didn’t argue after that. The Mongolian rice was good. A medium potion was enough for both of us. Didn’t try any other meat dishes because I was worried about the quality.

Disgusting. There are mice everywhere. Not clean at all. Horrible place ever visited. Rooms are also like that. Don't trust the photos they've uploaded. Bathrooms there is not water draining at all.

The place is really nice but it seemed like it is not cleaned regularly(the windows and floor were dusty) maybe because they don't have much customers. It also took about an hour to deliver the food we ordered which was just four dishes. We also had to inform twice to get the bill. Despite that, food(esp. The two kottus we ordered) was good and the staff was friendly and nice.It has so much potential due to easy access and beautiful place but seemed like they have neglected on maintenance. Hope they'll put more effort into it, because I really liked the place.
