We were greeted and immediately seated upon entry. There was a big rush right when we sat down, so it did take a little while to get our order in. However, we got our food in due time, and everything was hot and fresh. The prime rib was very good, the tri-tip medallions were very big and delicious, and the sirloin steak was also cooked just right. The green beans had bacon and onions, a nice surprise. The mashed potatoes and gravy tasted homemade. The broccoli was cooked just right. We were constantly checked on, drinks refilled, "is everything okay," etc. The chicken noodle soup was obviously homemade, with good chunks of chicken and thick broth. The salads were very good. Service was always with a smile. Fun decorations inside with an obvious bear theme everywhere. A variety of music was playing quietly in the background. Being our very first visit to any Black Bear Diner, we look forward to our return. The banana cream pie was not just one slice, it was like a miniature 6 inch pie, and extremely enjoyable.

Hear mixed things about this Restaurant but THIS specific location not only serves hefty amounts of food for the price but it is seasoned and served well. The service was good with friendly waiters and waitresses. Can't eat here all the time because their breakfast can leave you uncomfortably full but it is so good! Also a Huckleberry Lemonade is so sweet and delicious!
