It was amazing. From the outside entry to entering the restaurant, it made you feel like you were up away in the mountains. The service was excellent, we were seated fast and the food was amazing!! Definitely will be going back and recommending to others. When I arrived I was told the wait time was around 10-15 minutes and I was seated within less than 5 minutes which was awesome as I had two hungry little girls with me. The staff was so friendly and kind to my girls. Immediately upon being seated Evelyn took down our drink order. My girls were so excited with the menu and the food delivery did not disappoint. The food was thoroughly cooked. I noticed many families were dining and I saw nothing but smiling faces. Very kid friendly. Our waitress provided excellent service as well as the additional wait staff that also checked in to make sure we were doing good. The GM stopped by and he was very courteous and welcoming. We did visit the restroom and it was also kid friendly, with a changing table and very clean (which is a plus when you're out with kids). I have very picky eaters and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them eat every morsel of their food. My little one loved her food so much that following our Knotts trip she asked to visit this restaurant again! Truly a great experience and we plan on making a trip to this establishment before every time we hit Knotts theme park. Good breakfast really enjoyed it. Biscuits were huge and fluffy and gravy had a good flavor, really wish it had sausage. Bacon was delicious maybe honey applewood 🤤. The cinnamon roll French toast was out of this world highly recommend as a share side and the fruit was real fresh. I definitely would like to try the waffle and the other hash browns what look like they’re cooked with green peppers and onions. Didn’t know about the pies until we left, so next time I’ll try a slice of pie after dinner. The Prime Rib/ Fish Fry (all you can eat fish) Friday sounds amazing for dinner. I'm a heavy Yelper and a "not so frequent" Google reviewer but I had to add this review because It's well deserved.... That being said.... This Black Bear is the best one that I've been to and I have been to many across California. Not only is the food always consistent and made exactly how you ordered it, the service is the icing on the cake. Michelle, our server, was on her game with a smile and made our breakfast experience wonderful and I wouldn't change a thing about todays visit. Thank you to everyone there at that Black Bear, I wish you guys were closer to where I lived, I'd be there all the time.
