Great place for drinks and appetizers. We had dinner reservations at 9pm at another spot & needed an appetizer. Great service and staff. Apps were fantastic. Great selection of bourbon and red wine. I will be back for dinner in the future. Looks like they have an amazing outdoor area but obviously not in January. Great place! Cant wait to come back during warmer weather to check out the patio. Staff was amazing. I had the special, which was duck and I probable wouldn’t order that again. Bishop’s Post is a great spot with an awesome patio, spacious bar area and a clean, upscale ambiance. Good happy hour and friendly, attentive service.. and the food is awesome! Great food and great service. The atmosphere is very comfortable as well. We started with the crab cakes and I gotta say, they're to die for! We also split a Caesar salad. I got the seafood ravioli. It was delightful and very flavorful. My wife went with the burger and fries - you can't go wrong with that and sure enough, it did not disappoint. We capped it off with a whiskey, red wine, and gooey butter cake. Our server was very friendly. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the price. I don't mind paying more for a great meal, but this was a little outrageous. We will probably come back, but not too often.

Based on reviews, I was excited to try this restaurant. My husband and I are older and haven't been getting out much due to medical issues. I really was looking forward to NOT having to cook, but Bishop's Post was disappointing. I ordered the most expensive item on the lunch menu ($27 salmon), and after one bite, I knew we'd have been better off if we'd stayed at home. The atmosphere is very nice, and the service was good, but the food was barely edible. Salmon was too salty and had a weird sauce on it, and the rice/veggies were oily and mushy. To be fair, we've discovered lately that many restaurants are serving low-quality fare at high-end prices. Darn, back into the kitchen I go. I liked Bishops Post so much I went back a 2nd time while in St Louis area for five days. The wine and food was great. The garden patio is so beautiful. My only complaint is on my 2nd visit I was there solo. I asked for outdoor seating and the hostess said the only available tables were in the sun, so I chose inside. From my window seat I saw open tables in shade, but those went to twosomes rather than a single (me). Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50

This is a great restaurant. I enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. The outside bar is definitely a vibe. I don't usually sit outside at restaurants, but it was a great choice. We ate on the patio, which was gorgeous and had a lovely waterfall to enjoy during dinner. I wanted the beef tips but I'm not a fan of bleu cheese so the waiter suggested an alfredo sauce instead and it was amazing! I can't wait to come back and order it again. Our table also ordered the fried chicken, (which was half a chicken!) salmon, and shrimp & grits. All of them were very nicely sized proportions and super tasty! Great food and great atmosphere. It does feel a little like a private place that you have to be a member to visit, as a first-timer, it was a great experience. One downside was the Old Fashioned. Maybe I’m picky, but when a whisky cocktail comes as a completely full rocks glass, something’s probably off. This one, sadly, was about two parts water to one part bourbon. came in on a saturday evening... used a high table in the bar area... service was great, well paced... food was delicious... atmosphere was nice, not loud... looked like the regular dining area requires a reservation... take the high table, they sit four and are spacious... we had the spinach dip, the butternut squash ravioli, the meatloaf, and the shrimp and grits... all were good and we had a great time!
