We loved our Sunday lunch experience there. The meats were so nice and juicy. We had the 6meat platter, and a 3meat platter. The only thing we couldn't eat was the fish. It was so dry practically unchewable. Our favourites were the brisket, pork chops and the goat. The sides were okay, the cassava chips were under done. Atmosphere is great, my daughter really enjoyed the sandpit and the slides. They have minders but we also got a table right next to the play area so we could easily see her, and she could come back and forth to our table as she pleased. They have free face painting, which she was so happy about. Cocktails were excellent, and the daiquiri was a hit on the table.

We had the 3 meat platter and it was worth it. The best was the pork ribs and sausages. Absolutely Delicious fall of the bone type. Sides were great too. Loved their fries and sembe. Only downside is It's a bit pricey though or this would be a great regular weekend hangout joint. Food was served promptly and the wait staff were great. Their milkshakes were okay.
Would be great if the management can consider a bit more budget friendly bbq options as well.

It's family-oriented, they have a playground, bouncing castle... Children can play.

Don't we love the exploratory vibes of year-end office parties? There is an option to reserve space but there is also a large variety of indoor and outdoor seating areas to accommodate small and large parties. The attendants are top notch and extremely helpful. Servings seem generous (although, to be fair, we got platters for six). The chunky chips are fantastic although the kachumbari tomatoes tasted slightly off. Large variety of cuts. Brisket was good but if I'm being honest, just another cut of beef. Parking is in plenty but worked for the wise, the entry off Ngong road isn't the best. Risk of overshooting or being rammed into unless you show turning intentions early and watch your mirrors

I celebrated my birthday at Big Smoke and it was a wonderful experience. The service was amazing, quick and attentive. I loved the fact that they did separate bills as we were a group of 15 people. The cocktails though were a little off that day, the alcohol was not slapping as hard as this economy. Bonus points to the waitress, Joan, who gave me an extra slice of cake in addition to the cake that I brought. I ate the 1 meat platter pork and fries-portions were good, taste was topnotch as well.

Went there on a Friday afternoon.
WHAT WE ORDERED:
*4 meat combo
*mac&cheese
*chunky chips

WHAT I LOVED:
*THE CUSTOMER SERVICE - It was excellent.
*DECOR - The wood + metal decor fits right in with the restaurant theme.
*GOAT MEAT & CHUNKY CHIPS - These were the star of this entire meal! So flavorful & delicious. 😋
*THE PORK RIBS, MAC&CHEESE and MASHED POTATOES - tasty but sadly, also served to us cold. What a waste...coz they would've slapped more if they were served steamy and hot.
*THE PASSION FRUIT JUICE - It is from actual passion fruits! So yum and refreshing!
WHAT I HATED:
*THE BEEF BRISKET - It was my first time trying brisket in Kenya so I was excited but boy was I disappointed! I mean, the brisket slices were completely COLD! The fat on the meat had even solidified. Not sure if this is a service issue whereby food is not brought out to the customer fast enough OR a food issue whereby the caliber & style of preparation just isn't good. Because, why would you serve a customer COLD brisket?
*THE CHICKEN - same issue as the beef brisket. It was completely cold when served. It was also very tough to eat...was it really freshly smoked in house? Or is that just a slogan? We didn't even eat the rest of it because it was still reddish on the inside meaning it wasn't smoked properly.
*THE APPLE PIE - either the dough was not cooked all the way through OR the soggy cinnamon apple mess that was inside had turned the pastry into mush. So disgusting! It was like eating cooked apples that had just fallen into a mixture of sand and mud. Yuck! Literally, the WORST apple pie I have ever eaten. They shouldn't even put that on their menu.

*Carry a jacket/coat if you plan on sitting on the outside terraces as it tends to get windy.

We ordered the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. They were soooo good! Everything from the big kitchen menu comes with chips. The Mac N Cheese is so delicious! The baked beans are quite sweet, maybe made with maple.

Brisket Platter and Pork Ribs
I went there for dinner at around 8-8:30 pm on a Sunday. The experience was okay. I ordered the 2 meat combo platter ( beef brisket + pork ribs) and buffalo wings with sweet bbq sauce. The wings came as plain wings since they had ran out of the sweet sauce. I loved the brisket. It was delicious 😋.
I loved the vanilla milkshake, too. The portions were okay to feed 2.
