Coming from a seafood city (Seattle), I was taken to Big Roosta's by a local friend who really loved his food.
Roosta himself recommended the seafood platter and it did not disappoint. The fried crab legs (were huge) and it was my first time eating fried crab legs were delicious. The shrimp were big and sweet, the catfish cooked to perfection and the sides hush puppies, fries (made from fresh potatoes), okra and the white bread slices were fresh and they were good. If you get a chance to come to Gulfport, I really recommend coming here, there's also bbq ( what he's known for). All the usual bbq meats. His smokers are out back and you can smell them at work. I recommend ordering online especially during lunch time, it's busy which is a sign of how good his food is.

First time trying them and their smoked wings were so good. The handcut fries took me out,delicious! Can't wait to try the BBQ ribs. Customer service was amazing. I recommend this spot if you want good food and service.

If you ever find yourself in Gulfport, MS you need to eat here. The folks working here are the best. If you’re ever missing the feeling of family this place has you covered. The food was the best. the pulled pork sandwiches were stacked and it was the best pulled pork sandwich i’ve ever had, the fries were crispy and seasoned to perfection. I highly recommend the chicken wings. Not only were they super juicy but the skin was crispy. This is the best BBQ post i’ve ever been to and 20/10 recommend and i will be back

We gave super bowl party at Harrah's for about for about 8 people everyone that ate the food said how great it tasted and how well everything they had was
well seasoned.
We had ribs,beef sausage,wings,egg rolls,collard greens, mac&cheese,potatoe salad,yams this food was awesome. The owner and his staff was very respectful,helpful and just so awesome.
This is just a wonderful place for southern hospitality. Everyone ate and took plates to go and also got the address for when they come back to visit. Thank you

Since big Roostas opened I can't get enough of it! Their smash burgers are the best bugers in town! Highly recommend ! A++ all the way!

As a first time customer, I cannot say enough about my awesome experience at Roosta’s BBQ!! Im a resident of Alabama and drove to Mississippi to try this family owned spot out and it did not disappoint! From the top notch customer service to the perfectly seasoned food, to the portion size, and cost, my family and I were Highly Satisfied! I would recommend this spot for all. Definitely worth the drive and we will be back! Special shout out to Roosta, Mark, and “Mama Roosta” for the hospitality.

It was really nice experience. Food is fast, tasty, and bang for your buck. Had a great time talking to the cashier because of how nice and polite she was. Recommend trying this gem in the wall.
