It was an absolutely fantastic experience, the waiter was very kind and the food was beyond amazing. I had a calamari burger with their American coffee shake, both of them were very flavorful, I highly recommend! Service was great, waiter was kind, patient and friendly. We were in Yzerfontain for a week and went here twice. It was the only restaurant with a view that we found. The food was competent but uninspiring. The place itself looked quite run down, quite a shame because of its stunning location. You will probably want to go and eat on the terrace. Don't bother if you have to eat inside. Lovely little spot on the beach... Even in winter a great vibe and atmosphere, cozy and warm while watching the roaring waves. Carol was amazing, so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable... This little restaurant in the tiny town of Yzerfontein is simply fantastic. From the great service and friendliness to the view and most importantly the quality of the awesome food. We rode from Cape Town to get out the city and stumbled into this restaurant and very happy we did, it was more than worth the 1 hour ride and we will definitely be back.

After we had drinks, our menus were taken and shown the door because we were not planning on having lunch. The waitress told us that there could have been place for 'customers'. Are we not customers if we order drinks? The sign at the reception is very upsetting stating that undisciplined children wil be sold as slaves! It is not a topic to make jokes about, it's actually sick!
