We had a wonderful evening at Basta, thanks to the excellent food and the lively yet intimate atmosphere, and especially thanks to Sofia who served us at the table with great attention and kindness, suggesting dishes and wines to pair with great professionalism and dedication and making us feel like at home. We were two and even though we arrived on a Saturday evening without a reservation, Sofia and the very kind head waitress managed to find us a very pleasant seating. As an Italian, I can say that the dishes are very good, the ingredients of the highest quality, and also the reinterpretations of traditional dishes are interesting to try. The atmosphere of the place with original Italian ceramics brings a little piece of Italian summer to Umeå. I highly recommend the bruschetta with caponata and the carpaccio. Excellent service, excellent ingredients and dishes, very good italian wine, fair prices. We will definitely return, thank you Basta and grazie di cuore Sofia!
