Lovely place for a bite while shopping for some sauces or preserves. Decent amount of parking just outside the store. There’s such a huge variety of sauces, preserves and mixers. Best thing is that you can try almost anything they have when you’re dining in the eatery. Huge counter that has almost all the sauces that you can try. Food is pretty decent too. Definitely worth a visit when in the area.

One of a must visit destination if visiting Geraldine. If you're ever in Geraldine, come by olto Barker's Foodstore and Eatery. The perfect place to stop on your backyard exploration and experience hospitality the Barker's way. I visited with my wife and our three kids and they loved every second spent in the store. Foods are good and there are plenty jams and drinks to test for free. Even if you are not buying anything, there is still something to eat and drink without spending any $$$$, so why not stopping by :)

Great place to spend time for a quick brunch or lunch. Loads variety of samples that you can try including dips, jams and drinks. This is a kid-friendly space as well. It provides a colouring section and kids menu. All the menu is fantastic. I love the pancake so much.

Absolutely Delicious food, loved taste testing jams / relish / cordial before purchasing... Now here's hoping we can get the jam through customs at the airport and don't lose it all 🤔✈️Experienced an amazing hail storm just as we were about to leave the building so had to stay awhile longer and so some more taste testing 🤣🤣 Creamy Chicken Pie with Capsicum & Apricot was Devine, Custard Square had to be the best Custard Square I have tasted❤️

If you’re driving thru it’s worth stopping by for a browse and lunch. Very cool little shop and it has a huge backyard/outdoor area. Very family orientated

love the atmospere, very spacious and great menu selection from sweet to savoury. they also give a complimentary condiment station which filled with full of barker's product from sauces and chutneys, definitely more than 20++ selection that you can try. you can also purchase their jams, chutney, sauces, and preserved product in store. worth the visit.

A lovely spot for a stop on the drive through Geraldine. Free tasters for jams and cordials! Such a huge range to choose from. Nice spot to sit and have a scone and jam. Would recommend.

What an awesome place to eat. Modern near new building with a picturesque outlook, high ceilings creating a light an airy atmosphere. We had the platter for two. Very nice ans just enough food. The beer and wine selection was good but not over the top with too many choices. They also had available all of their pickles and relishes to try with you meal for free as well as free cordials from their range. Service was great, we waited around 15 minutes but they were very busy; worth the wait. Staff were super friendly and tickets clean and tidy. Well done.

A must stop if you’re in the area! They have a wide selection of products to taste and buy, and everything we had to eat at the café was delicious. The custard square was excellent, and if they sold the tartare sauce from the fish and chips I would have bought some, it was very good.

Taste Rating 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 Hygiene & Cleanliness 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕 Service Attitude 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕 Will I Visit Again? 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕 Barker's sauces are quite renowned, and you can find them in most New Zealand supermarkets! But they also have their own café! It's located in a small town near Timaru called Geraldine! The dining space inside is very spacious and incredibly comfortable. Here, you can mix some of Barker's fruit syrups into sparkling water to try out their flavors (see picture two). And after ordering, there's a variety of jams available in the sauce section for you to add to your meal (see picture three). You can also purchase a wide range of sauces here! If you happen to pass through this town, make sure to give it a try!
