I believe this used to be Portland Pottery Cafe and there are new owners now. I brought a friend who is gluten free here and we were happily surprised that all the sandwiches could be on GF bread... and they were super tasty! We tried: -The Chicken Salad sandwich ($14) - VERY good -Turkey Avocado sandwich ($15) Note: Chips are not included, but a pickle is. Parking: Street parking. A little tricky, but not terrible. I'm excited to go back and try more!

My sweets & beets sandwich was good but my friend was served powdered eggs and extremely over buttered toast. Overpriced for what you get. We paid for a tip but you bus your own table and you have to keep getting up over and over again when you realize there are no condiments, napkins etc at your table. That’s what that tip was supposed to go to: service…. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We came here twice for breakfast in Portland and were very happy both times. The breakfast brioches, the chocolate and plain croissants, cheesecake, and peanut butter cookies were all excellent. The atmosphere is so cozy and the coffee delicious. Amazing pottery next door! What more can you ask for?

Wow. I just popped in to give it a try since it re-opened with ZERO expectations. The place was packed with ppl (some ppl eating alone, some on their laptops, etc) but it was easy to order and grab a small table. We randomly ordered a breakfast sandwich and oh man, this beats Tandem! The biscuit was perfectly fluffy and the sausage, egg, and arugula were all perfectly done. Nothing was over/underwhelming. I really think it might be my favorite breakfast sandwich in the area. The display case was also full of tempting looking baked goods. Can’t wait to come back for lunch and park it on my laptop for a productive lunch! Edit: tried the pazole soup and shakshuka—super delicious and hearty!! Will be back for the soup.

Absolute Gem! This place has the best whoopie pies in Portland. They roast the turkey on site and the Turkey Avocado sandwich on foccacia is my absolute favorite. The Breakfast Bowl and Pico Wrap are also outstanding. Do yourself a favor and check out this delicious spot!

I’ve followed these two from their locations in Wells up to this cute little shop in Portland. The neighborhood is lucky to have them! The croissants, the cakes, (vegan) soups, and everything in between (including my favorite *certain* scone!) are so so sooo good. Kristen and Doug are the best at what they do. If you haven’t been in yet you are truly missing out. Go. now.

Absolutely wonderful cafe!!! Yummy treats and delicious soup and sandwiches. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu! Oh and the pottery, nice selection and beautiful pottery. Doug, Kristen and staff were wonder. It was lunch hour and they were on top of everything. Thank you and I look forward to coming back.
1) trip to Paris $$$$$$$ 2) air BnB Paris, France $$$$$. Enjoy the French pastries at local bistro in Paris:$$. 3) alternative: trip to Portland ,Maine, relaxing in the Pottery Cafe and having exquisite French pastries by Kristen, a former Parisian Bakery Chef- Priceless! We have been constant customers of Kristen and Doug since their 1690 Bake shop in Wells. Doug creates wonderful sandwich and luncheon dishes; also, excellent chowders and soup. Washington street neighborhood, we are envious of your access. Best of Luck to Bake Maine and their new adventure..
