I love the Indian people, they are so warm and interested in getting to know you. I had a wonderful experience getting to know Santos and his very attentive and warm crew. They made me feel like I was family and they were serving me their home-cooked meal. Everything was fantastic and delicious. I would highly recommend the visit to this beautiful restaurant overlooking the Housatonic river with very festive and colorful decor.. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

♿ accessible! We took my brother in law for his first time trying Indian cuisine. We all loved it. It was delicious. The staff were top notch in service and incredibly polite. If you like spicy ask for 8/10 (Indian hot). It does not take away from the flavor but it's a great heat. Chicken marsala was our favorite and this place has one of the best we've had. Next time we are back in the area we are going to try their buffet. Beautiful view as well. Call out to the manager/owner in the white shirt, awesome guy! A great Thanksgiving meal! My first foray into Indian food and I'm very glad I went here. The inside such a surprise! Incredible views from many tables, bright interior and the furniture is even brighter. Plenty of room between tables, big outdoor patio. Obviously family-owned and their pride shows. Waitress was happy to explain menu, service was excellent. I had the Curry Lamb. Big delicious portions, white rice on side and cups of condiments that had spices I've never experienced. Been going here since I moved to Shelton 15 years ago. Don't know if there are new owners or new chef. But, this last time 2/17/24 the food seemed more flavorful with cleaner fresher flavors. Visited Baingan today and was delighted with the updated decor. The buffet was excellent with a variety of dishes which would please everyone. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The buffet menu is limited to very few items. Pakoda served is fried so much and drips oil. Vegetarians will have limited to no options. Rice gets dried and the Gulab Jamun is not edible at all. Been here quite a few times with friends etc.. Food is moderately priced. Their dishes are pretty cultured sharing the rich, savory and spicy flavors that leaves your tastebuds wanting just one more bite. We went to a birthday party. This place and ambiance are good. They had riverview Counter. During summer it will be good, I believe. The food was ok.
