We had a delicious meal in this charming medieval building. The decoration was simple and the lighting was soft, full of ambience. We were served by Frank and two lovely waitresses. Frank was very attentive but not intrusive. He was also very knowledgeable about Mdina and Malta general. A meal in Bacchus is a unique and authentic Maltese experience. A really lovely interior with beautiful decorations for Christmas! It felt oddly quiet because we were the only guests and I don't think there was music at first. I was very disappointed with my dish because it definitely was spaghetti and not "angel hair", and it just wasn't great.. the pasta with the chorizo was very tasty on the other hand. Thank you to Frank & his colleagues for a lovely Christmas Eve dinner! The service and food were impeccable and the location is stunning! Highly recommend the Lobster and Chocolate Caramel tart. Beautiful atmosphere, good food. Had a dinner here tonight. The food was good, except ceviche, which was plain. The white fish was amazing, rabbit tasted good. Their bread was delicious, which was paired with hummus and olives. Good wine selection, obviously try local vine. Service was good and attentive. A perfect place for a date or a night out dinner. They also have a great terrace, but since we were there in the evening and it was cold to sit outside, we didn’t get a chance to experience is. Definitely a place to visit for a dinner or lunch. Love this restaurant as it has a "secret garden" on top. Meal was served there in open air with palm trees around. It has a big ballroom and open area where wedding or private function can be held. Very romantic and relaxing. Food was lovely. I was coming back for their venison and it didn't disappoint after a year. The appetizer i had was fantastic to open up the appetite. Very refreshing. After the meal, the waiter was kind enough to offer me a local liqueur "Bajtra" to try. It's a must-go restaurant if you're in Mdina for a night. A great great surprise. The food is delicious and the place is magical! 100% recommended. I just took picture of the deserts but we had starters and past. Mainly light food. Was awesome. The cranberry mousse was very good. Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I was pretty frustrated with my experience here. I think it’s a tourist trap, expensive because it’s inside an old castle. It was difficult to get the server’s attention, and the food was disappointing. The server pulled a cover off of my entree dish and let smoke out like a magic trick, and revealed 3 small pieces of meat with colorful dots of sauce and little green decorations on a large plate. It looks expensive and pretentious, if that’s what you like. I think they could focus more on food quantity, quality and service. I would not go again. Absolutely perfect. I have no words to describe the experience other than exquisite. Food was heavenly, staff was very professional and frienly. I really felt like im in heaven.
