We finally tried Avenue Bread and we weren't disappointed, it's a great place for breakfast or lunch. The menu is diverse and the food seems fresh. The bread is amazing and I loved the avocado toast! It was very crowded on a Sunday morning!

They recently remodeled and expanded, and they did a great job. Very comfortable interior and they also have outdoor seating.

Tried this place for the first time and got the sundried tomato and feta croissant which had big pieces of sundried tomato in the center. I wish i requested it to be heated up it but it was still tasty room temp from the display.
Californian sandwich was a lot bigger than I thought with big pieces of chicken and sprouts! Comes with chips and pickle if you like. The focaccia was not what I expected but pretty good..Would definitely come again.
Has community and solo seating, veggie options, and has plenty of parking in early afternoons.

Great spot for a bite in Fairhaven.
Large sandwich and salad selection, you can’t go wrong with the Turkey Melt on sourdough (delicious).
They also have cookies, brownies, sweet treats, and their bread loafs.
Seating is spacious indoor, and a small outdoor seating area on nice days.

Cranberry Turkey Sandwich
I got the Italian egg sandwich, which was really delicious *****, so the issue is in the drink. I ordered a dark mocha with oat milk, and when it came out I had everything to go and walked back to my apartment. Ate the sandwich first when I got home, and then went to take the first sit of my drink, which was about 15-20 from pickup - SCALDED my tongue, it’s 25F outside and cold enough to zap some heat. So that sucked, but also, by making it too hot, which is incorrect, the milk base starts to separate from the chocolate.

I almost got Subway for lunch today, but I changed my mind and decided to drive a bit farther to Avenue Bread. I'm so happy I did. This sandwich was amazing! The bread was soft, but still with a good chew, and all the other ingredients tasted so fresh. The pesto spread was generously applied, and the sprouts added such a good textural element.

Really nice, community-oriented bakery. There weren't many bread or pastries when we arrived on a Sunday morning.
However, they did have a discount bin for day old breads. Their rosemary sea salt bread was delicious.

Sea Salt Rosemary Bread
Nice local coffee shop with terrific looking sandwiches. We found their cappuccinos to be sub par. This was very unfortunate as we live within walking distance from this location and it does not bode well the next time we venture out for a morning coffee in Fairhaven.
