We were seated at the 830 seating just before closing at 9 (was a bit worried about that) but the staff was very friendly especially since we had our 3 month old with us. The food was absolutely amazing. We loved the dates so much we ordered a second round. My steak was cooked perfectly and the family style sides were great and allowed me to try everything. Exceptional food. The red deer loin steak was amazing. Very great presentation of food, the room itself was not very impressive but the food more than made up for it. The lavender lemonade cocktail is great a must have, and the espresso cheesecake is a great close to a fine dinner experience. Awesome place! Food was great, very nice service and we almost had it to ourselves. They did a great job on all of the sides and the steaks were really nicely done. The sommelier was very helpful as well. It made for a very good meal. The only reason why I don’t give August E’s a 5 star rating is because the aesthetics of how the restaurant is set up inside could be A LOT better. Reminds you of a banquet type of set up… too open and not intimate for the high-price menu. However, the drinks and food were excellent! Was the Chilean sea bass worth $52? Not really. Do they have the option to price it that high and still get clientele? Yes. Their espresso martini was absolutely the best one I’ve tried (if a restaurant has espresso martinis on their menu, that’s the first drink I try when drinking)! August E’s was also able to accommodate our large group of 10. We ended up not waiting for our table and sitting all at the bar. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+

Right from the start the host Carlos was welcoming and accommodating. He was able to get us a table. Our waiter Sam. Was Devine. The sweetest man and most amazing waiter we have ever encountered in Texas hands down. We have traveled all over Europe and visited many 5 star restaurants and in US regardless of the restaurant Sam is #1!!!! The wine list was excellent and the swordfish perfection! Highly recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Our server was great, however the food and atmosphere were less than subpar given the price. The crabcake, filet, and swordfish could have easily been cooked better at home. The drinks and august e salad were okay but that was basically it. The restaurant is trying to be upscale, but it’s crumby food and factory-style ceiling give another vibe. Really surprised by the cuisine at August E’s… really nice atmosphere for socializing. Food was prepared to perfection, with superb plating. Wild Game Trio is a really good choice… Venison Loin perfectly prepared at Med-rare. Staff very personable and attentive to our needs. Lastly, really good bar staff and wine selection.
