Everything in this place is home-made! I think this is the best restaurant in Metro Detroit and I love going out to eat at new places. There was a 30 min wait on a Saturday night, but well be worth it. They have a 25% discount for a veterans entree (all/any entree). Nachos appetizer; the salsa is truly delicious and fresh. Coconut shrimp entree; the coconut was not overpowering, with a nice sized piece of crisp shrimp. Bear Claw cheesecake; it was delicious and not overly sweet or rich. It was soft and smooth. Our waiter Nick was wonderful. He was attentive and friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant. We will return soon... Had a celebration of life for my sweet mama this past weekend. The service, the room, the food, the cost everything was amazing. It turned out better than I could’ve ever dreamed or hoped for. I hosted a luncheon here for more than 50 people. Attendees got to choose from our 3 selections from the menu so you can really control the price. Everyone raved about all 3 selections: salmon, steak, and chicken. The service was so helpful and attentive. The price was very reasonable compared to other locations. Visited with 4 friends and sat in the bar area. I ordered the Cottage Meatloaf which I never had before. See the menu for a description of the item. The description sounded good but what I received was a shock. It was a flat thin piece of meat about 2”X3” and 1/8” thick and covered in brown gravy. That’s all there was on the plate. With taxes and tip, this cost $14. OMG! The supervisor did allow me to reorder but I had lost my appetite by then and I probably would’ve had another charge. Thanksgiving Dinner here was an awful experience. We're new to the area and were looking for a place to celebrate the holiday. This place was recommended and had good reviews so we gave it a shot. When we got there the ambience of the half-filled main dining room seemed nice. We, however, were not seated in the main room. We were placed in an overflow room with mismatched furniture and no decorations - terrible ambience. We were the only party of 2 in there, and were seated at a table for 10 in a room with large parties. We asked if we could be seated at one of the booths but were told they were for upcoming reservations (they were still vacant when we left). They actually said the seating arrangement had been carefully planned, so they planned to give us substandard seating for some reason. In retrospect, we should have walked out at this point. Instead, we paid too much for a so so Thanksgiving meal in a terrible environment. I'm not sure why we received such poor seating, but it ruined Thanksgiving. We had our Bridal Shower here today and it was amazing! The food wad delicious, the service was impeccable and the restaurant had a great ambiance to it. It has an Up North vibe. Jackie is amazing to work with! She deserves a raise!! I highly recommend having your shower or any event here!!! The staff definitely went above and beyond. We were very pleased with the service and the kindness we received. The environment was lovely and calm, and the food was delicious. Delicious food, great service. Loved it. The place is nicely decorated with ski elements, you feel in a mountain cabin. Only the snow was missing. :) We enjoyed an early dinner on the terrace and everyone of us was happy with what we've got. June 2023 - came here for dinner after arriving home from a flight. Wife decided on this place and a place we haven't been to in years. Towards the back is a nice deck that has two TV's I think. We sat inside and someone was playing music. It was good and not to loud. They have a bar separate from the main room. In a private room in the back they had a large party. We could not hear them. Kids menu are for those under the age of 10. My 3 daughters had a nice list to pick from. Two chicken nuggets meals and spaghetti. All 3 come with one side, a drink, sundae and a toy from the chest. The kids had a good time and loved everything. My wife ordered the blueberry lemonade and she said it was good. She had the almond walleye and she said it was really good. She had a side salad and a potato for the side (get two sides for the main dish). I ordered the fish n chips. The fish and chips were good. I would get them again. We ordered chips n guac. That was very good! We had Jessica as our waitress and she did a great job, thank you!! Staff was nice and answered any questions we had. I love when you find a place that makes you feel like you aren't where you should be...the atmosphere reminds me of actually being in Colorado. It's cozy with fireplaces, log cabin style, deers on the walls atmosphere doesn't feel like Michigan. Their food is amazing and the seevice was great. Busy night and food still came out pretty fast! They have salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees...a nice variety to choose from. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
