We have wanted to try the Aqua Terra Bistro for some time now. We finally had the opportunity when we met some friends visiting from North Carolina for dinner. The food was excellent, and the service was quick and friendly. I had the shrimp and grits with an Old Fashion Cocktail to drink. Overall, a pretty good meal, but pricey for the experience, in my opinion. The complementary bread and sauce was delicious. Some kind of a tomato sauce, but not a tomato flavor. Can't describe, but amazing. For my entree I had the halibut risotto. The halibut was pretty bland, honestly, but the risotto was outstanding. Nice and creamy, jam packed with flavor. I had the bread pudding for dessert. I had a gingerbread kind of flavor with cranberries baked in. Perfectly paired with the ice cream and whipped cream. I really liked this place! I went there twice and had the brunch menu. The food was really good but the Potato Egg Rolls and Bacon Wrapped Dates are fantastic! I feel like everything was good, but it was just a little bit overpriced for me for the quality. The server was really nice and she offered everything. Only minor complaint was we were in a very small table for the two of us. I also hate being against the wall. This place is still a good place to get dinner in a night out in Buford. This place is really great . Love the food here and the options were amazing. The waiter was very knowledgeable and explained everything on the menu and wine selection.
