We have been here since 7:30pm ordered our food and got it decently fast. 2 out of 3 of us ordered the all you eat and they both ordered their next all you can eat item when they got their food initially. Now 30 minutes later and still no food and everyone that works here is behind the bar working on a hose that's busted. So much for our food, I am so over waiting!!! Our family of 22 went here for 2 Birthdays, my husband and daughter. We all would like to say how much we enjoyed ourselves. We all said how GREAT OUR WAITRESS WAS! HER NAME IS MEGHAN L. She was polite, cheerful and funny. She kept our drinks full at all times. We can't say enough about MEGHAN L. She also made our time there so much fun! Went to Mt Vernon Applebees last night 1-13-24 the heat in the building was not working. (They could have told us this when we arrived) they had portable heaters but I don’t think they were working either. We ordered the all you can eat ribs, when we got them they were only warm, not hot. It was so cold in the building that after a bite or 2 all our food was cold. We then ordered fried shrimp, thinking they are deep fried they will be hot… No they were not hot at all. We said something to the server only to get a clueless look on her face. We asked for our check, paid and left. I wasn’t going to write this, but after thinking about it, I had to. People enjoy eating out and it’s pretty expensive to do so. People should enjoy there experience. If the heat is not working, Close the store until it is fixed. At least make people aware of the problem. Decided to try this location after a poor experience with another location, but my group left just as upset. We got the all you can eat wings and the food was cold/dry when brought out, drinks tasted like the soda taps were disgusting (you can definitely tell the difference, one server denied this). We were there for close to two and a half hours, and we were only served two plates each. Not to mention the first plate had ten wings, the next plate (that we waited over 50 minutes for) had five a piece. We told our server, who was very nice and respectful throughout this b.s., and she went to get the manager for us so something could be worked out. She came back TWENTY minutes later saying the manager wanted nothing to do with us, but that we could be allowed a 10% discount. Our order was $31, and the '10% discount' only took off a dollar. Server told us this is how multiple locations are. Honestly it's ridiculous. Wouldn't recommend any Applebee's location to anyone, honestly just go to the circle k across the street. We sat at our table for at least 10 minutes with no sign of a waitress. We eventually just got up and left. The staff didn’t even bother to turn the outside lights on. We thought they were closed which is probably what they wanted. Went to La Fuentes instead and had perfect food and service as always.
