One of the many Italian restaurants in Fed Hill, Anthony’s has a more laid back vibe and feels a little more family friendly, similar to Angelo’s. The many has plenty of options, and the food is good. I had the gnocchi special in vodka sauce which was wonderful. They also have a decent selection of wine and cocktails, and have a few cans/bottles of beer but nothing on tap. The bartender was very friendly and attentive, although I did go on a particularly dead Monday night. I do think the prices are a little steep here, they seem to be more in line with the fancier places on the Hill. All in all, a good place to get Italian food on Fed Hill, especially if you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere or to avoid the busiest part of Atwells. I'm only issue is the prices but the problem with that is all the prices in the area are the same now. The service is great. If you go in and Devin is your server or bartender you're going to get everything great. He gives excellent suggestions on what to eat. He'll tell you if it's a hard email or if it's a light male. If you're really hungry, what to get or not, the vodka sauce items are great and he suggested that to me and it was perfect it will Reminds you of old mafia movies which I like. He was very friendly. He was really the only person that I dealt with and it was great and they have a parking lot. It's small but they have one. Late lunch in near empty main room. Both had the linguini with clams after long wait. Clams were tender but white sauce lacking. Ok but pricey. One of few restaurants on Atwells open for lunch. Empty parking lot adjacent.

Highly recommend Anthony's!! Wow! The food was really good. I highly recommend it. White clam chowder, spaghetti with meatballs, Ceasars salad with grilled chicken and tiramisu. All so good. However, if you are looking for a quick eat and leave, this is not the place. There was quite a break between soup and main dish. It wasn't just me...others were waiting as well. The co reviewer and I decided to try Anthonys for a late lunch / early dinner. We hit that sweet spot before the place was packed so they had ample parking (amazing on Federal Hill!) and seating options for us. Our meals and the service was good. The co reviewer’s Manhattans were well made. The order of smelts we got to go were enjoyed by the co reviewers mom. We will definitely be back. I had been wanting to try this place for awhile. It was amazing! This is one of the few places on Federal Hill with its own parking. Everything we ate was delicious and fresh. The service was great, drinks and wine delightful as well. Spoke with the owner and he was very friendly, helpful and encouraging us to come back. Great little hidden gem. OMG!! I am a visitor to Providence and was told that this is by far the best Intalian restauarnt in Providence. We went for a business dinner and was a worst decision of a lifetime. Lets start with the wine - ordered "Silver Oak" Cab as per the menu but was told that the year printed in the menu was wrong what they had is 2016 , anyway got that as the same price as "vintage" this wine was bad. Appetizers - Had 4 appetizers - Calamari & Smelt fish - it was sour like crazy and since it was breaded, fried and had the chef had put lime juice ( without thinking) it was soggy, the artichoke heart was a disaster - although this was reccomended my the server ( forgot to mention they one and only server fort the evening had no interest of serving or food or wine, she was there just for the heck of it) and the shrimp cocktail - there were 4 shrimps which looked and tasted very sad. The Main dishes - The veal dish was breaded fried and very badly presented, the fish was ok , the 2 pastas was so bad that we had to just leave it. The dessert Tiramisu, Creme brulee and another one - nothing to write home about it. There was just 1 lady (for the entire restaurant) who had no clue on food or wine, the ambience is below average, the bar menu is very selective besides things in the menu was not aavailable what we wanted. Wonder why someone would rate it 4+ - Folks - please be real and dont misguide visitors like me and others. I will not reccomend this place to anyone. Thank you for patiently reading my experience.
