Located in the centre of the small town. This hotel is run by it's very relaxed and helpful owner. He is happy to organise food, motorcycle rental or a tuktuk taxi to the port. The building looks well cared for and is clean. I had a room at the back overlooking the mangroves and the sea. This is the quitest side of the hotel. It appears to be one of the best properties the island. ||The island is only 16km from end to end so can be explored in a day if you have a bike. There are a selection of lovely long sandy beaches to visit. An abandoned resort near the port is an interesting but strange place to visit. Lovely gardens but the artificial lakes are all damaged and empty and all the chalets either abandoned or destroyed! Elsewhere there are some hidden coves with fishing boats moored up. All very lovely.

We visited in December which is the off season for tourism to the island. Most of the places to eat etc were closed and the open ones were not great for us. The hotel itself is relatively clean. Not very helpful or interested staff though and I caught 2 cockroaches in the room. ||It's very much a building site outside, this place will look very different in a few years I have no doubt. The island has some beautiful beaches and we were the only people on them which was great for a day but after one day we would have loved one place to get a drink or some food. There are some wooden structures on the northern beach "Minh Chau" but they were abandoned for the winter. Rented a motorbike from a nearby hotel for 120,000 dong, good road on the island with barely any people on it so it was easy and fun to explore. Really glad we went there but just slightly too late. I'm sure in 20 years it will be a different story....

Short Summary:||This hotel is family owned and the staff is really friendly. The owner speaks good english and is very helpfull. Beds are reasonably soft and rooms are provided with an A/C. We paid 300.000 dong for a double room and stayed 2 nights.||||Hotel:||Rooms are clean and the shower is on top of the toilet (As in many hotels). The food of the hotel is really tastefull and for reasonable prices.||||Service:||Excellent service. We asked for three motorbikes (120.000 Dong per motorbike) and 5 minutes later it was arranged. The motorbikes are a perfect way to explore the Island. Ask the manager for a map.||||Overall:||||Nice, clean and basic hotel. Perfect for exploring the non-touristy island.

Quan Lan Island is very Vietnamese (rightfully so). Nice beaches . We had family emergency and the manager was rather helpful. Not "Novotel " helpful, but pretty good! |The hotel is good/decent, but 1k from beach and was, well, quite forgetable. But the manager speaks English when no one else does.

Would recommended to anyone who is in Halong bay to visit Quan Lan island. Its a real taste of proper vietnamese life without the hassel of the more touristy spots.||The beaches are unbelievable and we found ourselves to be the only ones on them!||You can bicycle up and down the island easily bit would recommend staying in the town.||We stayed in Ann hotel which was gorgeous, got our own balcony with a great view. Definitely one of our favourite destinations on the trip!

Anh hotel is big quiet the owner dont care so much about customers .|The rooms are good and super clean the view is also nice but unfortunately too many rubbish in the mangrove . Food is expensive and it can be very noisy. |Also fews mosquitos at night.. for the price we expected to have at least two bottle of water and the breakfast is not included ! All in all it s just ok there s other hotel on quan lan

We were in Quan Lan during low season. We are the only foreigners in town.|Nothing much to do here. We rent a bike and biked to Minh Chau beach, which was an ok beach. From our hotel to Minh Chau about an hour bike ride.|A lot of small restaurants around, no bakeries. Didn't see any bar. |Kinda boring place. The only thing I like was watching sunset from our balcony.|

Very simple, clean and spacious rooms. ||Also if you ask nicely, you will get a room with a sea view!||The manager is not always waiting at the lobby, so you can think at first that hotel is empty, but try just shout for a few times louder and he will appear(:||

Ann Hotel is a very run hotel on the Quan Lan Island , very easy to rent a motor bike and explore the island and its beautiful beaches.The food at the Ann is first class and we should have eaten there every night.|Very friend owners and very clean rooms.

Good Location, big hotel and Mr Phương very like||He together visit Quan land Island with 4 beaches very clean and amazing beach, ||We discovery Quan land island by Motorbike, tuktuck, or bike ||I highly recomended this hotel and i will back soon
