I love taverns in the middle of nowhere, and this one is exceptional! We both had the Western Burger with tots and it was excellent. Friendly staff. There's an awesome outdoor area with horseshoes and it's a very inviting outdoor area. So glad I found this place on a Moto ride and looking forward to going back.

Go here if you like cheap food, tacos are damn good, corn dogs $1. Beers cheap and great outside area. If you don't like a good easy going country bar than don't ruin this one.
Great little spot tucked in this small town. Lots of local historical photos on the wall. A great outdoor smoking area in the back. Was surprised at the amount of people that were here for such a small establishment! Burgers were good and the service was great. Definitely a good little place to check out

We like old places and history. The rating is based on the overall experience. I would give it 4 stars for the menu and 3 for the facilities.
When my friend and I need a break, we take a drive through beautiful countryside to the hamlet of Alpine. This is your basic rural tavern, dive-y in a good way. The regulars are very friendly. We've had great conversations here. We always have a cheeseburger. Top-notch in the old-fashioned American way. Not greasy, just yummy. We share an order of nice crisp fries and wash it down with Hefeweizen. Perfect. Oh, I like their fry sauce too. There's a roomy patio and sometimes a fluffy orange cat holds court. And there's a pool table. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway to the old America.
I can't say enough about the Alpine Tavern. A very friendly place where everyone meets for any occasion. Two big screen tvs, free pool table, happy hour, a grill if you're hungry, video poker machines, and a really nice garden area in the back that serves as a smoking area with horseshoes pits. If you go, check out the history of the area by reading the posters behind the bar. Many locals enjoy driving their classic vehicles to the Tavern.
You can even sign a one dollar bill and stick it on the ceiling if you wish. And on Thursdays they have $1.50 tacos. (The $1.50 tacos have been discontinued. But when pulled pork sandwiches are on the menu, try one...they are great!)
We are in the process of moving just a couple miles up the road from here so thought we would try it out. Excellent burger, lots of different beers on tap and very nice people. We will be back for taco Thursday 🌮🍺
