Recently, I had a culinary adventure at Alborz Restaurant, where I indulged in the Soltani Kabob dish. This classic Persian fare features a delightful fusion of flavors, including a compelling combination of Koobideh and lamb kabobs.
The dish arrived with a presentation that left me longing for a traditional touch—a grilled tomato would have complemented the ensemble perfectly. However, the option to customize my meal by opting for half rice and half salad was a welcomed gesture, offering a balanced dining experience.
Though not a standard offering on the menu, the staff graciously accommodated my request for tahdig, crafting a crispy rice alternative that, while not the traditional bottom-of-the-pot delight, still satisfied my palate.
While the ambiance may not have dazzled with opulence, its simplicity reminiscent of roadside eateries, the show's true star was undeniably the food. Each bite of the succulent kabobs was a testament to the chef’s skill and dedication to delivering authentic Persian flavors.
In summary, while Alborz may not boast lavish surroundings, its culinary offerings speak volumes. For a taste of traditional Persian cuisine that tantalizes the taste buds, this restaurant is sure to leave a lasting impression.
Bon Appétit!

Consistently good food, generous portions. Over time, a few favorites and preferences emerge.
Ordering a la carte makes sense on occasion, staff are happy to accommodate. However the price for customizing orders is borderline prohibitive. A side bowl of lamb shank broth cost $5, a Tandoori/Barg combo $35.
Better to order dishes separately as they are obviously a better value.
Overall, I recommend Shamshiry as they at least show long-term customer appreciation.

Overall nothing amazing but not bad. Lamb shank was tender and the soup that the lamb shank was in is very good, probably my favorite thing that I had there. The rice dishes were only ok probably would not order it again. The spicy green sauce that comes with the bread in the beginning is good, I recommend getting some extra of those and mixing it with the rice if your order comes with rice.

Went here last week and there were several highlights when compared to other Iranian restaurants -
1. Service was fast
2. Portions were large
3. Prices reasonable
4. And the meat and rice tasted great - ever when re-heated the next day.
I will definitely go back.
