A strange place, quite homely but maybe overly so, like when you haven’t tidied up before visitors arrive🤪 quite a varied menu but we opted for the haddock burger and fries. Good sized portions. Had breakfast here this morning. Everything was very good. I had eggs, over easy with bacon, home fries and coffee. I also tried their homemade bread. It was the highlight of the meal. I also got eggs and bacon for my puppy. She agrees it was first class! To bad I live 2 hrs away, I'd be there very regularly if I was closer. This was my first food in Maine after crossing the Canadian border, and it was great. I had a BLT, which was one of the best BLTs I've had, hands down. I'm thankful for missing that exit, because this is way better than any fast food. Although I only stayed there for a moment, it was oddly cozy. Plus, the name, "A Place to Eat" is wonderfully humorous! If I ever go to northern Maine again, I'll go here.
