At our most recent visit, the wait wasn't too bad. We had a party of 7 ppl and were seated pretty quickly for a Saturday night.
Our waitress, though quite nice, seemed a bit overwhelmed. The food was pretty good, but the parmesan wings weren't the best. I'd recommend this restaurant.

In my opinion, this restaurant has the best food in the area. Im talking all of New Haven County and then some. Everything is absolutely delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is great. Not to mention, customer service is great. I highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

French Onion Soup
Great little restaurant right down the street from university of new haven. We walked in and seated ourselves Excellent service, we were in a hurry due to getting to a college tour ontime and waitress took our order and expedited so we could eat fast. Waitress was very accommodating and service was good. Wasn't crowded definitely a good find!

Chicken Parmesan
It was such a beautiful day out so we decided we wanted to eat out at a laid back spot with a patio. I agreed upon 744 which one of my fav spots! To our dismay there was no patio service and we almost went elsewhere but I really wanted the clams casino. So we sat at the bar and I'm glad we did! The bartender was so personable and happy to be there lol!! We greeted with a smile! As always we receive an extensive menu and sit there stuck like deer in headlights because we want it all lol!! The bartender was wonderful at helping us to narrow it down! Clams casino, French Onion soup, Shrimp and Crab chowder, sweet chilli pepper wings with garlic parm dip and the NY strip topped with a sherry cream sauce with lobster meat. All of it was absolutely top notch. The flavor was nailed in every dish. I was very pleased with the food and satisfied with the portions. The steak cooked med rare to perfection and so tender. The mashed red potatoes were great too, perfect combo of butter, garlic salt 😍.

Such a great little restaurant! The food is not only delicious and the prices are great, but the waitress that works there is such a sweetheart. I forgot my leftovers, and even though I realized this over 2 hours after I left the restaurant, the waitress saved it for me. She even left it on ice for me! Definitely worth the visit!

The staff was nice, went for the first time for Father's Day per my dad because thats where he wanted to go brought my kids instantly regretted it. The patrons seated by us were very inappropriate with their language vulgarly loud enough that my children can hear every word they were very inconsiderate no one chose to address it no respect what so ever gave me bad taste in my mouth, mind you the food wasn't anything special my sister ordered the Salmon platter was not cooked how she asked sent it back twice overall horrible experience. NOT kid friendly atmosphere. NOT very good first impression just hope my dad enjoyed his day..
