Service is slow but pretty! Unfortunately only Heineken for tap beer but there are some other bottled options. Nice view of the lake, good music Service Dine in Meal type Other

Loved the place and view. Unfortunately we waited one hour for 3 dishes: a egg toast, sea bass and a mushroom risotto. The size of both the risotto and the fish were truly minimal for the price paid. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–20

The Waterfront Vlietland is a South African owned restaurant located 5km from Leiden city center. Situated on the edge of the Vlietland lake it gives a feeling of tranquility with a relaxed vibe where one can come to enjoy breakfast, lunch and/ or dinner. The well positioned restaurant is one of my favorite spots where I come for breakfast regularly. The food is good and reasonably well priced. I enjoy the English breakfast and my wife’s favorite breakfast is the Eggs Benedict. On this occasion we had fresh mint tea. The service is at times a bit slow, but overall the staff is professional, friendly and helpful. For a good breakfast I definitely recommend the Waterfront Vlietland.

Very nice location and good English breakfast, but for dinner is better go elsewhere. It is a lottery to get properly prepared meat. Boneless spareribs are dry and look overcooked till the crisp dried state and then soaked in sauce that makes them inedible.

Delicious, rather bland food, a bit expensive, but I guess you gotta pay for the great surrounding and the sun, huh? I ordered prawns with noodle salad and shiitake but the latter was missing. The waiter didn’t come by to check in if everything was ok. I saw some people smoke. Yikes!!
