I recently visited Voedselbos Texel with a group of kids, and it turned out to be an incredibly enjoyable experience for all of us. The highlight of our visit was definitely the berry-picking activity. The children had an absolute blast picking berries, and it was a fantastic way to engage them with nature. Watching their excitement as they collected the ripe and juicy berries was heartwarming.
But that's not all; Voedselbos Texel had even more to offer. The fresh cakes and coffee available at the venue were an absolute gem. After our berry-picking adventure, we treated ourselves to some delectable cakes that were simply irresistible. Pairing them with a cup of quality coffee made for a perfect afternoon indulgence. The attention to detail and the flavors they offered truly made the experience special.

But be careful listening to instructions, especially if you don't speak Dutch, since not everything can be picked, but there's not much signs...
Excellent park where you can harvest your own strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, cucumbers & tomatoes by yourself. Fresh and supper tasty directly from the plants. Excellent for the families with young kids for educational experience. Highly recommended
A perfect place to go for strawberry picking. Went to this place on June 10th and it was a perfect time for self picking due to the abundant ripe strawberries. It was the most satisfying self picking experiences I’ve ever had in NL so far.
Perfect strawberries! 4€ per kilo for self-harvesting is absolutely fine, because it is easy and quick and you can snack some too. Delicious strawberry food to have in a beautiful garden. A must do with Kids.
Really nice place to visit to pick fruits and vegetable by yourself. It was a super fun and peaceful moment to enjoy after a day of cycling on the island. Great experience, with friendly staff and super tasty fruits (the strawberries are AMAZING, super sweet!).
A nice Berry garden with lots of varieties of berries. You can eat whatever you like but not allowed to carry anything outside. We enjoyed the fresh strawberries and blue berries so much. It's certainly is a nice evening outing.
This is for sure an experience that I truly enjoyed. Having the opportunity to eat directly from the plants is amazing. The best part off course was the strawberries: they were sweet, delicious and tasted amazing. In the end I also bought their fresh mint, which is so healthy that it started creating roots and I will now replant.
