We fell for this tourist trap. They have a decent location near parking lot and captured stomachs of our kids after a long day snorkeling on the beautiful cayos. Mofungo ($20-25 each for a little cereal bowl) was just ok and the lady gave me what felt like a guilt trip for asking for two extra plastic spoons so we could share our overpriced mofungo. I had the same negative credit card/driver's license experience as some of the other reviewers and had to go inside the store connected to the front restaurant to pay versus just paying were I ordered. Very long wait time. I was pretty much angry for the entire experience. This place needs to sell to somebody who will actually run this restaurant the right way. I hope you see these negative posts before choosing Violeta's . . . wish I had checked first. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

No lo recomiendo. Llego al lugar y consumo ahí mismo con mi familia. Quise ir al baño y la dueña me pide recibo para permitirme la entrada al baño, le explico que la cajera nunca me dio recibo y solo el cambio. Señora muy malcriada y con actitud no me permitió el acceso al baño. Eso es una falta de respeto al cliente. No lo piso jamás. Fue de mal gusto ese momento. Le daña el día a cualquiera esa señora con su comportamiento antisocial. 😡😡 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

NO gastes aquí. La comida es malísima, nada tiene sabor, ni siquiera el mayoketchup y demasiado cara. No puedo recomendar algo de comer porque todo sabe mal. I ordered an asopao which had no flavor at all. It was unbalanced, too much rice and no caldo. The mofongo was hard to eat. The waiting time was outrageous, one hour and fifteen minutes! We asked for a refund after 40 minutes of waiting but the personnel was reluctant to provide it. I rather eat at a Mcdonalds than eating at this place again. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
