Very short staffed, was there at the end of the lunch rush, waited patiently, when it was my turn to order I was informed they had several online orders that they needed to make. Never was able to make an order, worst subway experience I have had. The store wasn't that busy, staff seemed overwhelmed. Meal type Lunch Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I was waiting outside for the store to open, which I had no problem doing. At 8:00AM the lady working, Dawn, unlocked the doors. So I proceeded to get out of my vehicle and walk inside. The second I get inside, Dawn says to me in a very disrespectful manner that they are not open yet. So I asked if she wanted to re-lock the doors and unlock them again when she is open. (But realistically it was 8:00AM, the time they are scheduled to open, and she is the one that unlocked the doors.) At this point in an even more angry tone she asks me if she wants me to have her drop everything, stop opening the store so she can help me. I simply said, “No. But I sure don’t appreciate her attitude. To which she replies with, “we’ll go somewhere else then!” Again, in a not so very nice way. So I go outside to my car where my brother was sitting in the passenger seat and he asked me what’s going on. I told him what had just happened, so he decided to go inside and try to talk with her since he is a GM at a chain restaurant and he can possibly get a better understanding of where the issue is. So he goes inside and immediately asks for her name so he can talk to her by name respectfully. And after stating she was the district manager and her name is Dawn, she starts yelling at my brother saying that I came in before they were open to which my brother replies with, I work in the industry and I couldn’t imagine having a job after talking to customers like that. To which she demands he get out of the store as well. My jaw dropped. I couldn’t believe what happened. I understand people having bad days. But this was way over the top and for no reason. I don’t care what your title is in the company. But you would think the higher up in the company someone is, the higher the standard they would hold for themselves. Again, she was probably having a bad day, but this is still unacceptable. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I go to deforest subway often and I've never had a problem but today Lisa was the rudest lady I have ever met! Told me my options were white or wheat and then continued to be so rude and not even ask me what I wanted on my sub or let me speak... Grouch lady challenged my service dog walking in the door even though she is clearly badged and tagged-not a welcoming place. Then she put her “employee” down for being “too new to know” —geez wonder why you have “help wanted” sign in your window!!! They only take cash. Sent my son in to order his sub and they charge $15 for a footlong turkey with bacon and mozzarella. Called to speak with someone after realizing and the girl hung up on me, twice. Called to ask to speak to manager and couldn’t understand the person answering the phone. Would NEVER eat here. Not sure if it was an employee or a manager that yelled at me when I came to pick up my to go order. Ordered on the app & all fountain sodas are “OUT OF STOCK” so I couldn’t pick out a soda. Obviously fountain soda isn’t out of stock, I believe it says OUT OF STOCK when they are out of their small sized cups. I clicked to have chocolate milk as the drinks with the meals being there is no up charge. I paid to “make it a meal” so that includes the cookies AND A DRINK. But being that I couldn’t order any fountain soda, I chose milk. When I went to pick up I was yelled at that I have to pay extra to have a fountain soda when I attempted to grab soda cups. Make it a meal includes the drink, it’s not my fault the app says your soda is out of stock. I paid for the drinks whether it’s chocolate milk or a fountain soda, there is no price difference. I couldn’t believe the way this staff member approached me and yelled at me in front of everyone. Zero professionalism, above and beyond inappropriate way to talk to a customer.

Used a gift card today. Haven’t been to Subway in a long time. Was very disappointed with meat quality. I ordered a cold cut combo and when I got home and tasted it. Funny taste to it. Opened it up and looked at the meat, the edges were old, gray looking. I took it back and showed it to the manager. She offered me a free meal. I said no thanks and left. I don’t want to get sick. PLEASE take a look at your meats before you serve it or as you serve it. Don’t you date it???? Went to Jimmy Johns afterwards….
Came in today at about 11:50am on a Friday…walked in and there was about 12 people ahead of me. They had 3 employees working. All 3 women behind the counter were pleasant and moving the line along as fast as one could expect with that many individual sandwiches being made to order. Being an adult and a rational and reasonable person, I expected to wait a bit before I would get served and get my food. All said and done, the sandwich was worth the expected wait. The service industry often has unrealistic expectations thrust upon it and the workers often get the brunt of it. Todays experience is why I will continue to frequent the DeForest Subway (can’t say the same about others necessarily)
