We’ve eaten at this restaurant many times over the years, but today we were very disappointed. When you order a Brodplankje for 2 people you get one flattened roll precut into four pieces not even 3cm by 3 cm? And olive oil plus salt crystals, aioli the only prepared dip? Seriously? For more than 5 €? When it use to be at least two to three Different kinds of breads, 2-3 slices each? And bitterballen cost 1,50€ per piece? No thank you, we will not be doing this again. The dinner plans are definitely canceled! Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

This is one of the worst restaurants I've been to in awhile. The service was beyond rude. Every waiter, including the manager, was directly rude to the customers. The food was poor - the kids burger was a fried beef patty on bread without anything else, the fish was literally just a fried fish on a plate with no sides and the main course burger has no sides either. The setting was beautiful, but I would never eat here again. The entire staff, apart from one waiter, needs to be replaced or trained. Came in, no one was paying attention even though it was not busy at all. Sat down, no one brought a menu or came our way. We had to get our own menu. Afterwards we attempted to order food 10 minutes before the kitchen opens, they refused to take the order until 17:00 sharp. Didn't bother to have the food after such service, up and left for a better restaurant elsewhere ;) Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The food is great and the staff let us sit inside because there was no shade outside, even though the inside of the restaurant would have been closed. Long waiting time. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Went there twice, once for dinner which was quite ok, and once for lunch. At lunch it was a disaster. Food was super salty and the cord holding people from entering, seemed quite unnecessary. We also felt that it was way too expensive for what you get. I don't know what happened to these places, but it was always nice when they were unpretentious and had simpler food. Now everything has to be with special wraps and drinks and whatever. Sometimes simpler is better. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–20

There were loads of free tables and many couples we're sitting at tables for four but we were pushed around that we should sit at table right next to th aisle. Really bad service. Seemed to have problems with dogs.....left without eatingw... Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Nice place with a nice view, good food and drinks. We had some snacks as a lunch, the Flammkuchen with goatcheese (I recommend this), bitterballen and Kippeling.

This is the best beach en the best beach reastaurant in Texel. Having experience with beach hospitality, you won't find a better place like this on the Island. Overall restaurant standerds at beach restaurants on Texel are very average. Paal 21 is the best. Also this beach is patrolled by lifeguards.
