We booked the table for a new year dinner to thank the grandparents but was not allowed in because we have a dog. The staff told us the 'no dog' policy is all over the website, which is not true. When you go to the site to make reservation, there is no mention of dog on that page or anywhere during booking process. My husband searched 'hound' on your site via the search, there is no result. The grandparents live on the island and often have meals or coffee there during the day and see dogs all the time so they picked the restaurant without realising dogs are only allowed before 5pm.. So please make up your mind - are you dog friendly restaurant or not?

Lovely place with great staff. Food was great and best thing is you can order almost everything in kid size so you don’t get stuck with the regular frites and deep fried chicken nuggets/kroket/frikandel options most kid menus have. We had an amazing experience at Paal 17 in De Koog, Texel. The food was absolutely delicious with generous portions. However, what truly made our visit exceptional was Amy, our server. She treated us like VIPs throughout the meal, providing impeccable service and making us feel truly valued. Thank you, Amy, for making our dining experience unforgettable! I have been in the first floor with a bigger group. Wasn't expecting this class of service and food. We had a five course menue with many different platters. Everything was perfectly fresh and tasty. Great place, amazing delicious food. The steak and paprika soup were really good. Its next to the beach. Can sit inside or outside. The wait for the table was not long at all which was great. The food took a bit long to come but it did not disappoint. But perhaps book to be sure. Also there were two charging ports for EVs at the parking. As it was one of the busiest weekends of the year we had to wait a short while to be seated. Once we were seated the service was very good. The food was great and ample for the price. All in all a very nice place to stop for a bit of lunch. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–20

Good food at a reasonable price. Can get very busy in weekends. They provide us seating at upstairs as the ground floor is fully occupied. Service is very good.
