This place is the best and most authentic Southern BBQ you could possibly find. The pulled pork sandwich, "The Travis", is my go-to every time. Came up for a few days and figured we might not find anything to amazing… we were wrong. I’ve been woking, cooking and became a chef in the industry over the past fifteen years. I haven’t had BBQ like this since the glory days in down in Portland, when there were only 3 BBQ places to choose from. I can attest to this BBQ spot on the Maine boarder is the best from New Brunswick to Mass. Second to Noble BBQ or that place that was in Bucksport(?) These folks turn simple into magic, the slaw, the corn muffins! The beans! The burnt ends!!! Lord have mercy! Real deal, travel worth it. Top Notch BBQ in Maine, I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and fries with banana pudding. The pork was great, fries were crispy and all of the sauces I tried were good. Especially the spicy ones. The people at Shorewood offer the most authentic smoked meat anywhere. The food is fantastic and the people are as authentic as the food. A truly wonderful experience..
