My Family has been buying cakes here for years now and it has become a tradition almost to always get cakes from Ryke's Bakery. But until recently the past 5 to 6 years the frosting for the cakes is different, becoming more whipped. The reason that we have always gone here for the cakes is that induced "sugar coma" from the buttercream frosting, that is now gone. Not sure if it is from the new owner who said that no recipes are going to change, but not happy at all with the most recent ordered cake. I moved back here to my beloved hometown Muskegon in November:) I live very close to here. I come here a lot. Coffee and donut(s), repeat. I tip. There's some very good young employees working the counter. There are two or three that um how do I say... They should take Business 101. I insert my card and they instruct you to hit green twice to bypass the tip. Wt helk? The first time I said that's kind of offensivem.. how do you know I don't want to tip? Then it happened again with a different employee... and I realized when you're really young you don't really care about tips well some people some some... the very young adult ones who lack common sense and who have not taken business 101 bless their hearts.l 🤩🥰😍😘🩵 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Originally my review was a one star and I am changing that to a 5 star now because of Drew’s top Notch customer service and his willingness to make things right after a bad experience. It was so refreshing to speak to someone who truly cares about their customers experiences. He not only made things right but we also assured me that he is working to improve the culture at Rykes bakery and because of this I will give the company another shot when I am in need of a cake.

Got my boyfriend's cake here. Walked in asked if they could do a weed design but I wasn't sure how I wanted it and gave them free roam of all colors and design. I thought it was the most beautiful cake ever and for ana amazing price.

They knock their cakes out of the park every time. Friendly staff, easy phone order process. Needed a cake in 3 days because I do everything last minute and they did a great job. My son wanted a picture of a train, I emailed them a picture and a vague description of what I wanted for the colors and they did an excellent job.

Ryke's (Holland, MI) stepped in to save the day after I faced a last minute crisis with another local bakery! I spoke with Kiara on the phone and she was so kind, patient, professional, and knowledgeable when it came to placing my order. When I picked up the order, the team members were so incredibly friendly and helpful! The design on the cakes turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I ordered 3 cakes and they coordinated the color palette to match the 1970s theme and each other perfectly! The cakes were so moist, flavorful and delicious. All of our guests really enjoyed their first piece and some even went back for seconds! Thanks again so much for such a wonderful experience, it really helped to make my parent's 70th Birthday Celebration special!

I would give them 10 stars! They have created beautiful and delicious cupcakes and cakes for many of our important family events. From a baby shower to birthdays and of course our wedding, we always choose Ryke’s!!

Ryke’s catered our wedding years ago, and we were absolutely happy with how everything turned out. They have excellent service and delicious food, and we definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great caterer. We also love Ryke’s for their bakery and cafe; whether we’re popping in really quick for a donut, cheese dip, or even one of their pre-made cakes for a special occasion, their staff is always welcoming and helpful, and their food is amazing.
