What a gem! The flavors were amazing, and the vibe was so cool. Try the flight of mojitos. If you're looking to mix it up for dinner, I'd definitely go here. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food is good but here's my issue.. Ordered Uber Eats and everything was delicious however, I ordered oxtail. $27 plus delivery and tip. Of the 4 oxtail bones, only 1 had any meat on it. Careless prep by the restaurant. It's supposed to be fall off the bone good, and It was, but I got screwed because someone didn't pay attention. I paid a hefty price for broth. Service Delivery Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
I absolutely love Que Rico’s Cuban cafe in Slidell! It’s just what we need here. Hands down best Cuban sandwich in Louisiana! Salsa night that they have every month is so much fun. The atmosphere is inviting and happy. 5 stars! Definitely recommend checking out this gem in Slidell! Nice environment & good service but unfortunately, the food quality wasn’t the greatest. This restaurant is NOT serving authentic Cuban food - coming from a (Cuban family). Everything in the Havana sampler is frozen including the pork which is refried (making it tough/dry). The “fried yuca” was soggy and not hot at all. The fried plantains were the most decent item on that plate. I’ve never been to a Cuban restaurant that serves refried pork. Pork is the easiest protein to cook on the spot. The grilled chicken entrees were okay except for the beans that had a strange taste (Not Cuban style seasoning) & the chicken is wasn’t well seasoned. This food was a real disappointment for our family. Moving here from Miami was a big change for us but we were excited to have some Cuban food nearby but this restaurant didn’t meet our expectations. The good reviews are not from Cuban natives. Update: seems like the owner took my review on a personal level with the excess use of exclamations. Quite a “professional” response, seems like a teenager responded. Anyhow, there’s no need to state “don’t come back” because we weren’t planning on wasting our money on the mediocre food your restaurant is selling. Keep serving your frozen/refried food & calling it Cuban food. I hope the residents visit a real cuban restaurant to differentiate between real Cuban food and the garbage you’re selling. Best wishes! The food used to be good at the other place. Now they're taking shortcuts. The cuban is barely 2 slices of luncheon meat with some pickle. The Medianoche is mostly bread. They've lost quality and any pretense at authenticity Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
