Panera's repertoire of classics and new specials never cease to amaze me! We stopped tonight enroute to visit someone in hospital who's suffered quite brutally with knee infections following three surgeries. This place has become extremely overpriced. $10 for a "bowl" of soup?? No drink or additions, just soup. A cup, which the bowl seems like, is over $6. That is absurd. Also, no one there could tell me what the ten vegetables were in the "10 vegetable soup." The girl clearly wanted me to change my mind because she went to the back to ask folks who also didn't know so came back to me and said "did you still want to know what's in it?" .... Yes? A manager came up, listed off a few common sense vegetables, about 4-5 and said he did not know the rest. No one here can answer that? Not even the cooks? Granted, the squash soup was good but no. The place was filthy, the food was disappointing. The bacon avocado sandwich was soggy and didn’t even have bacon slices, just a sprinkling of bacon bits. Super misleading. Prices keep going up and quality continues to plummet. Based on this experience and recent disappointing experiences, I’ll avoid Panera whenever possible.
