Stopped by for lunch for our visit to Philipsburg. Quick to be seated and served. The restaurant is positioned nicely to keep you out of the noon sun, but not really a place to view the bay as all you see is the ships and yachts. We had the jerk chicken and the Tapas plate. Jerk chicken was seasoned great, but a bit dry. Everything on the tapas plate was pretty much fried and possibly old oil due to slight bitterness. Menu is very tourist oriented due to being so close to the cruise port. If every restaurant is busy, this place would be an okay spot.

I had dinner on New Years Eve here, the menu was an $85 full course menu, the food was ok I ordered crab backs with salmon and veges and my partner ordered fried snapper, the crab cakes were overbaked and the salmon was burnt, but it actually tasted great. My partners fish was perfect, I would definitely return here to try at a different time.

Charged me $5 for a few disposable cups of ice. If you want a place to go that will find a way to charge you for anything, go here. The bartender was not nice at all, although my brother and I were as nice as can be. I’d you have money to waste, and don’t care how the waiters, waitresses, and bartenders treat you, go here! I PROMISE you they will treat you better next door!

My brother and I had asked for 4 cups of ice, and the attitude that the bartender had towards us would make us want to warn any other potential customer of the poor service that the restaurant offered. I’m not sure if it was due to us looking younger (I’m 18), or because we were white, or because he was having a bad day. I don’t care regardless, there was no reason he should have had an attitude towards us when asking for a cup of ice. If he was in the country I was from, I would have had no problem giving him water, ice, or whatever. I don’t care. Treat everyone how you want to be treated. I highly DO NOT recommend this restaurant, for the bartender set a bad example for the rest of the restaurant. Save your time and go next door. They’re nicer and their drinks are cheaper :)
